Uh oh! I didn’t take the possible humidity issues into account before ordering my octos. Guess we’ll see how it goes.

Thinking back on my 4 grows with these Octopots even with 100 degrees heat in the summer I’ve never had a issue I just increase air flow I figure I’d pose the question see if hydro people in general have similar issues being there is a good deal of water in the room
when I ran soil in 5 gallons bucket I really never even monitored humidity once I saw it was usually in the 50’s
But I feel that the plants can take it so far no stress issues have developed
@SeymourGreen I would not worry it’s a great way to grow I started with 4 and increased to 5 if I had the space I’d get 3 more
The increase in volume and yield is incredible

Lights out now humidity at 64 % in the tents and 60 % in my room ( I may increase fan size to a 8 in exhaust 360 plus cfm Should be more effective)
Temps have dropped also
I remember why I originally stopped using the fan now
When in flower and it’s stinky in there and I open up the tents the fan drawers the stink throughout the house lol 
I do have a portable carbon filter / ozone gen for when I open the tent

Could some of the humidity be a result of increased plant mass and transpiration? Octos have the plants pumping the juices!

I believe your correct the 24 x 24 tent is at 70 % humidity fan on or off the big tent dropped to 64 % and seems to be sitting there
I firmly believe i need to veg less and defoliate more next run I’ll flux or manifold style keep it less crowded lol

If you defoliate yes water consumption will drop as will humidity buuuuut this will be short lived as the plants will just spend energy in growing them back again , they need a certain amount of leaf mass for thier size to function properly and will keep growing back what you pluck off , and if defoliation is done in or close to flower then the only place left growing is in the new young colas , so this is where they shall grow them ( less light penetration at top of canopy and leafy buds , longer trim jail ) and they shall rob some budding power also to do this
Less time in veg is the answer : )

I only do a very selective defoliation at this stage in there life the one thing I will do next time is a better job at getting ride of those small branches that just make popcorn buds ( but then again I love to make hash )
Iam am going to do a fluxing style in the small tent next round and compare yield with a simple scrogg style

Today humidity with lights out is 58 and it’s still high humidity out side here so I’ll just keep an eye on everything

I think I’ll do something like this in my seedling tent next grow but with about 24 or 30 of these just for fun This is damage case
This is the banana OG x strawberry sis she seems to have small buds but I am sure they will packed with goodness I may look at this for breeding if flavor is right and try to bulk her with something special we shell see also a friend who grow out a strawberry sis cut said she took 15 weeks so she just may need some time , she is the last one in the Octopots and did take 6 days longer to root then any of them

Looking fine @Papalag! I feel you and @ifish on the less vegging thing. It’s neat in some ways but not always the best way to go inside. I think I want to do the mini plant thing, too. I need to look at more in faster time to get through all of these seeds. Like a pre-screening to growing them again and larger. You got me wanting some Chucky again!

Thanks for the kind offer, bro, but I’m pretty good with those. Beach sent me another pack this summer and I still have some from the first. The first pack gave me a real trophy. I’ll try and find my old pics. I have another Eskobar strain that I actually bought! Rare for my broke ass. It’s the Aztec cross… I already forgot the name… is it Aztec Rain? I’m gonna finally get back over to visit anybody left at the other site. I’m coming into my internet season, heh. It’s freaking 8º outside with 14" of snow and still going. 8º tonight and warming a little tomorrow, like 37, but more snow Wed. without the extreme temps. I’ll have more butt time, now. Although I’m gonna bust on this old house more this winter. I’m trying to refurbish it. Grow on baby!

I’ve noticed in the big tent there a some dark spots on the sides never saw this before I switched to the new light now before I used 2 smaller lights but covered end to end so I was thinking of something like 2 of these one on each side of the California lightworks light

In the CB tent the buds are close , color of the buds is spot on and she is drink like its ladies night at the bar and someone else buying woo hoo It’s week 9 of the feeding schedule so I’m feeding 5/12/24(jacks ) And I added a tablespoon of meta-K from earth juice it’s nothing but K ( only supplement I use other then cal mag and earth juice minerals, Epson salts )
In the big tent the banana OG is showing signs of trace minerals deficiency always something going on lol

I am playing around with an idea
Since I’ve acquired a few sativas I was thinking of running 5 different ones in 2 gallon bags start them small and fill them quickly it maybe fun
Maybe next year I can fit this one in
