GDP hybrid grow

Got any GDP X GDP SEEDS left?
I remember this strain from highscool and would love to have a go at it

everything looking healthy.

interesting that mutantor™ is female.
did you end up with any males, or still too early to tell with the others?

are you going to flip to sex the plants or to go for finish?

Actually the beige container former mutant still waiting for gender reveal and the other one in plastic container showing pistills but wouldn’t be surprised if both turn out female. For sure the female officially flowering tomorrow and prob another week on beige…next 3 coming along just out of seedling stage into veg.

thanks for the pictures/reporting. appreciate you testing these for me.

i do.

however, the reason @Headies12green has a set is for testing reasons. these seeds are phase1 of a much larger project. i sent them out as he agreed to do an unbiased test/report on them for me as soon as he received.

now… if you grow hydro, you may be in luck as that is the only medium i have NOT been able to get them in for testing. if you meet those conditions, we can talk.

when headie’s test conclude i might have some packs for the community after i make my seed selections for the program. we’ll see.

the flip road ahead:

mom - stretch is very indica. slow, steady, predictable, respectable.
a 2 on a scale of 1-5.
keep an eye on the N uptake in the first 3 weeks of flower. it’s NOT a hog by any means, but it will show you after about 3 weeks if you’re keeping up with the stretch demands. if you’re on top of your feeding/top dressing you shouldn’t have issue, but just a bit of warning. (this may be a ME issue with my hot/dry environment too, you may have differing results)
i’d say the magic number to shoot for was 9 weeks. don’t let the juicyness of week 8 fool you. be patient and you’ll reap the benefits of better flavors.
8 too short, 10 too long. IMO. shoot for 9.

dad - stretch was also very indica, but probably a bit more (2.5 on the 1-5 scale) due to the male parts. i still have not found a female in the XOX line… i have a few seeds left. (wish me luck)
this was NOT a finicky eater at all. stay on top of the feeding/top dress and you’ll be fine.
this may add a more lush green to the mix. i noticed it still tends to run a bit more dark green than AC GDP. both are nich lush green plants, but dad was a bit darker. (a tall, dark, handsome lad)

if you’re doing organics, perhaps introduce yourself to langbeinite. i REALLY think this amendment makes AC GDP shine. get it in the first few weeks of flip if you don’t have it already.

good luck.

Cool man I will def keep that in mind as they move into the next phase. Knock on wood but seem to be some of the less fickled genetics I dealt with in a while which must be a credit to your breeding. Just ocean forest soil and good old pH tap water so far without nutrient issues. Coco mix full of Gaia green so I expect that to last another month.

That is a spectacular answer!!!

i can’t take credit for the breeding. these were merely my selections.
but i am pleased the stability of both parents made it through.

really excited to see how they turn out in flower, and if the flavors you’re looking for come through.

Just transplanted into 5 gallon grow bag and moved over to 4x2 tent with quantum board and blurple LEDs for roughly 250 watts.

Decided to move first GDP female to bigger 3x3 tent under G3000 spider farmer LED along with three other gals

2nd GDP just placed in other flower tent so hoping we get another female…this one pungent grapey skunk compared to more mild first plant.

from my understanding the NorCal GDP was a cross of grape ape and skunk.
maybe a bit of dad coming through with the skunk scents?

Oh yeah that makes perfect sense bc the foliage and stem rub very pungent. Normally I don’t pick up on that kind of stuff this early especially having multiple plants around but brushed up against it and Pepe Le Pew showed up

Looks like pungent GDP pheno appears to be female and here’s last 3 seedlings coming along consistent hybrid indica structure but all slightly different
