Wicked fun thread lmfao. In my opinion most hobbyists overvalue the importance of their light and undervalue simple VPD/environ. In covid I ended up listening to a lot of podcasts and a common tip from pros was that hobbyists many times hit olants with too much light too fast.
One of the best runs I ever saw was a tent packed with autoflowers SOG style on a flood table with four $65 amazon quantumn boards.
One of the most trusted local hobbyists I know swears by HLG.

If you want lm301h evo mint white diodes yes its one company.
And i dont care which of this Chinese build it together because all parts are brought at the same companys.
Diodes = Samsung or less good bridge lux
Red = osram or the budget one is sanan.
Sure you can save an few bucks with doing it yourself but Chinese slaves are cheaper.
I can’t count how many times I’ve had to tell you there is more to it than the diodes. Do I really have to beat this dead horse??? We’re clearly arguing the same point in different ways man!! They’re like snowflakes…a hundred billion variables. You see that as being the same, somehow, just because they put out the same spectrum and nm. Cool. But the issue is not the quality of diodes when some ham fisted assembler made a cold solder joint on your board and it’s dead 6 mos after you bought it. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.
FWIW, I do agree with the HLG comment. If I had the money I’d definitely own one over any other on the market.

i was talking about my 220w spider vs 220w viperspectra and the viper has 2x the power if i use a light meter on the same high, thats all i can tell maybe my light os broken / maybe the light meter is but i dont think they are…
anyways i sold the viper for the 600w hydra 3umol made in spain we will see…
3umol is great! You could use that in a 3x3 or 4x4 if you want. If it has a dimmer, you may want to utilize it in that 2x4.

uhm week 9 day 3 - getting close to the end? any tips on how long this should take till cut?
Looking good man! To be honest, I still think you can expect to give it 2~3 more weeks. There is some personal preference in when to harvest, some like a bit fresher buds and harvest early, some like really intense and heady buds where many of the thrichomes are amber.
Personally I like the latter, and I push my plants to the limit before I harvest, but keep in mind the buds are just flowers; you can just pick the ones that are ripe to your taste and keep the rest growing, no reason to harvest the entire plant in one go.
Also when I pick the big buds, often I see that the buds on lower branches, that get less light are much less developed, so I pick the ripe buds and put the plant back under the light

I cant see much trichomes, give it more time. Don’t rush, the reward will be huge!
Looking good man, only a bit longer for pics 1 and 2, pic 3 and 4 will take a bit longer, but looks like #4 will be a beast!
