German 1st time grower / Legal since april

Welcome and congratulations

this is what you want to do?
you must have come here from RIU. want to argue, gotta be “right”.

have fun with that.

that’s patently obvious

i sense a “but” coming…

there it is… trashing away anyways.

because the advert said so … with numbers and stuff.

new grower comes in asking for help and ideas and this is your response. shaming the dude into returning his lights cuz they don’t fit YOUR specs. seems helpful and encouraging.

snoopy - you grow for you dude. use what works with your budget and space. congrats on legalization and good luck with your first grow.

I literally linked to real world tests dude. Nice try.

Also, comparing two reasonably is not trash talking. Go clean your mom’s basement.

yep. that’s what you wanna do.
argue. be right. and exit with an insult.

child.

says the keyboard justice warrior butting in in the middle of the conversation, right???

Who’s the one who came here for a fight and who came here to give real life advice??? Your first comment in this thread is to attack me dude. Let that sink in.

Yeah…I’m the child

my first post in this thread is addressed to snoopy. i fail to see how it is about you and/or attacking you. did i mention your name? did i call you out personally? nope.

trying to help a new grower with some questions… and not get overly confused with all the info. do you remember being a first time grower? weren’t you confused?

we try to help new growers around here. not argue with them.

i’m done with this. this doesn’t help snoopy in any way shape or form

you want to continue with this, you’ll be arguing with the wind. i’m out.

My bad, I scrolled past that one when I was looking 🤷 All this because you’re butt hurt I proved you’re using a light that doesn’t perform as well as you thought??? Good riddance if that’s how you want to be :joy: Numbers don’t lie. I’m not here to put people down, which is why I presented facts.

Go smoke a bowl and calm down. We’re all just here to grow the best cannabis possible man

And when you’re done, check out those new LM301H setups man. I promise you you won’t be disappointed if you spend the extra $100 on SF or Mars.

In europe there pretty overpriced so there are not realy an option.

I understand, but the return will pay for the price difference in spades if you can swing the cash.

you would make a TERRIBLE mind reader.

i’m not butt hurt about anything. i don’t give a f^ck about your numbers. i don’t care about lights or which one is best. that is ALL YOU. congratulations.

i’m trying to show the new guy that he can grow just fine with the light he bought and not be overwhelmed by all the choices out there. hence my picture and my response. he didn’t need to send them back did he? he just blew over a grand on his equipment. are you paying attention or do you just care about making sure we all know that you know who has the best lights?

again, i will ask you. do you not remember being a new grower yourself? all the products, all the choices, unsure if you’re doing everything “right”? if you actually read his responses he outright said he was confused by it all.

that is my angle. always has been. you’re the one concerned about what is best and making sure you prove it to anyone who disagrees. what is best for you may not be best for him. or me or anyone else.

seriously? that’s the best you’ve got? this is your admission that you took this too far.
you came after me… saying i attacked you. no where were you part of that conversation til you decided to argue with me about how much you know about lights.

whoop de doo

i think it’s YOU that needs to smoke a bowl. or ten.
maybe turn that dimmer knob down to an easy 2 or 3.
i’m out. you have a great day.

ps: i’d LOVE to clean my mom’s basement… but she’s not here. i appreciate the reminder.

@Sn0opY - i am sorry to f^ck up your thread.
i truly wish you the best of luck on your first grow. some of us are excited for you.
cheers.

There much better options for the price/ or the same lights ( at the end of the day same diodes and everything) for an much betfer price. (Kingbrite or everything with lm301h evo diodes)
Here in europe they really robbing you.

There’s far more that goes into making an LED than its diodes. All the way down to the solder used.

my fault. got it.

because you evidently crave my attention by tagging me over and over and over again.
maybe stop tagging me?
(found the ignore button. click)

if you’re buying lights from this dude, here is a sample of your customer service.
caveat emptor.

Guys WTF is this… discussions, FINE, but at this point it’s just hijacking @Sn0opY 's thread to vent…

FWIW I’ve grow decent weed under lights that will make you cry  , even built a DIY LED light on an alu extrusion with LED strips and a PC PSU once… worked fine.

We live in a world where we are used to comparing specsheets, minmaxing prices, over the top marketing, and “brocommendations” which can make one feel like there is only one option; the expensive one. This is ofcourse not black and white, and you can still grow decent weed under a 100W T5.

Will it be the most efficient? - No.
Will it give massive yields? - No.
Is the spectrum perfect for the entire cycle? - No.
Can you get started for 50$? - Yes.

I’m also often guilty of thinking: “anything other than the best or optimal is not good enough”, but the value of a product that you buy, is not based on the price, but what you get out of it.

BTW this is coming from a guy that runs the SF1000D + 4 Secret Jardin Cosmorrow 40W and 60W lights.

Be nice and let’s enjoy the plants.

aah all good i just can tell what my display says when i put the meter under SF and Viper

the SF is NOT the 301H led with the 3.1umol - thats the newest version and not even out all i see is preorder next month (for eu?)

so (MY) SF2000 does NOT put out more whatever then the viper

also i bought the viper from a friend who grows 20 years for the gov now… im preeety sure he testet a few light by now and that was his reccomendation - i mean i spent 3000$ or more on 2 setups and the accesories so its not about the $ - its more about every stoner in and around germany is buying grow stuff now - u take what u get (for now) - can still sell and upgrade later

  • i sold the viper to a friend and ordererd a 2nd one for him so 2x viper for him
and 3xHydra nemesis for me :stuck_out_tongue:

btw the “test” is 3+ years ago ViparSpectra XS-2000 PAR Test & Review-By Coco | Rollitup

no 301h led´s in 21 so the test is not rly helpful

Look forward to your updates on you 2 setups. Best of luck and happy grows🍻

Maybe but mars hydro is still massice overpriced here in europe and Competitors are enough there.
And Distribution and diodes is the important stuff.
And yeah there at tge end of the day all the same.
Put some money on tge table and you can get your own brand printed on it

They’re not the same. They’re literally manufactured at different factories. Like I said, some of the diodes are the same, and THAT’S IT. The circuit boards, wires, heat sinks, capacitors, resistors, solder, etc are ALL DIFFERENT. ALL OF THEM. Some use meanwell drivers, some use proprietary drivers with their own tuning specs. Some are accurate +/- 5% while some are accurate to +/- 10%… Some use LM301A, some use LM301B, some use LM301H, some don’t even use Samsung, but rather an American made Bridgelux diode. Some don’t even use any of them at all, opting for entirely different brands of diodes. And depending on the driver used, that quality and efficiency can all vary across the entire spectrum.

They are NOT all the same. Not even within a country mile of one another. The only thing they have in common is using an AC driver to power light emitting diodes. The options are literally as vast as humans are from one another.

Would you buy a car built by some redneck with a 4th grade education and nothing but a wrench and a screwdriver just because he used all genuine toyota parts to assemble it?? Just because one can do the job doesn’t mean it’s a good value, or it can perform on the same playing field.

That’s because like I have said 3 times now, your viparspectra LED uses 600w. Your SF2000 uses 200w. Your viparspectra consumes 3x the watts to run. Of course it’s more powerful…your electric bill is 3x as expensive to run it! Maybe there’s a language barrier or something here??? I honestly can’t understand why you haven’t grasped the concept that these are NOT equal power lights you are comparing!!! Your viparspectra is 3x that spider farmer, and should output 3x the light. But iff you compare two equal lights, spider farmer blows viparspectra away every time. I guarantee that.
