Ghost og (orgnkid cut)

I just got some ghost og from my local dispo and it was not a great high and didn’t last long … for such a nice looking bud I would not grow that for what kind of a high it gives me

From what I’ve heard, that probably is not real or was poorly grown.

I believe people seek it out for the high.

Yeah, back in the day when I lived in Florida, mid-90’s, we used to get “G13” and “Hashplant,” but I seriously doubt it was either of those. It was very good weed, but the people selling it to me just called it whatever High Times was talking about that month :joy::joy::joy:

It was all about the hype then also, sadly.

This is exactly what everybody faced back then and even still to this day . But especially back then people would call it whatever tf the popular names were . G13 was a huge one even in nova scotia . Chemo , ak 47 were also both popular and widely used names. Or the good ol stand by of just calling something " hydro " or " dro " lol like that somehow made it better haha

It was known as kind bud here or Hydro.

I actually had connects with serious growers back then, people who were doing real work and growing weed that rivals anything we grow today. There was actually a lot of drama a few years after I left Tampa, people got busted, other people ratted, prison sentences, all that shit… I was long-gone by then, though. Thank gawd.

So I don’t doubt that they were growing legit genetics, if for no other reason than that weed got me high as fuck. But I do think they were just like,”Uh, yeah, dude, this is G13,” or whatever. I didn’t know shit back then, except that it got me really stoned. They could’ve told me it was whatever and I would’ve been happy haha.

I didn’t say what I did because the rest of us were smoking shit and had no connections . Ya there was a ton of great weed around . Yes a lot of it I would without a doubt put up against the " best " of today . But those selling it usually had very little care for what they were selling beyond if it was good weed . So they would name it whatever they felt like . Especially whatever they thought people would recognize.
Just because someone can’t spout off the family tree doesn’t mean something isn’t legit genetics. This whole obsession with knowing anything beyond if it is good or not did not overly exist other then a few plant nerds , pre 2000 . Certainly nowhere near the level that it exists today.

For sure. Although I will say that I do like to know what it is I’m smoking these days. Shit, man, I can’t even remember the last time I smoked anybody’s weed but my own. I’ve turned down a lot of people. But yeah, if somebody offered me a joint today, I would absolutely ask them what it was before I hit it. Probably even ask then how it was grown haha! “What soil mix did you use? Is this fucking hydro??? No thanks, I only smoke weed that was grown in Coot’s mix!” haha. Or something.

I guess I’m just a dick like that…

Not a dick like that at all . I only consume my own . Was just saying that back then even myself was not quite so scrupulous about it . I was a pot snob for the times , only smoked good weed , but rarely did I actually know what the genetics were that I was smoking or growing . Just that it was good and whatever name it had been given .
Anybody offered me a joint nowadays no matter what my response is , no thanks I’m good .

I regret if I offended anyone but Im not sure. My point is if I walk into a liquor store and ask for a nice hoppy beer that they dont hand me a brown paper sack with a 6 pack of bush light instead of the 6 pack of Bells Two Hearted I wanted. Sorry for any thread drift. Gonna pick up a ghost next week I hope. Nice weekend to all and fuck the snow.
The one thing about growing I hate is chop day. Spent too many hours today to chop and rough trim just a small garden. I bought a 16" Bud Leaf Trimmer Machine Manual Crank Trimming Hydroponic Bowl Trim Wet Dry | eBay
last year and I cant really use it. Used it once and not bad but time to clean up vs just using Fiskers is ±

No more off topic Ghost stuff for me. Sorry.

We’re not offended. Or I’m not, anyway.

Let us know how that Ghost works out for you. I’m very curious…

Got a Bubba in process and waiting for shipping info. Ghost to follow up in a couple week. Since you would know, about how many days from flip for each one ?

They both finish at around nine weeks , the bubba will look done much sooner but don’t pull it till a week after you get the leaf fade.

I dropped a req for one today and its gonna be few months before I can run bubba and ghost once I get them in hand. I mentioned I got some cuts up potted to small pots for a couple weeks ready to go into 5 gallon bags in tent in about a week. MAC1 which I grew out few months back and GMO I was gifted I have not tried yet. I hear GMO is pretty good and stretches like a mofo. Wish I had the room and time you guys do.

I’ve got plenty of time, but not nearly enough room to be doing what I really wanna be doing…

Anyone with a cut and willing to trade please pm me.

Oh am completely in the same boat. I started collecting back in Jan, when I first flipped a tent full. I’ve yet to bloom any of the clones I’ve acquired! Bloom Tent just cleared up some, so some are going in this weekend. It’s like once you get your first desired cut or two, or even just a nice keeper of a good strain, trades follow!
