Good old school indica strain for breeding projects?

Skelly, is the SAME Plant, as Puck.
A guy nicknamed Skelly found the plant from a pack of seeds he brought back from Holland, in 1987.

He used to keep his weed, in a container resembling a hockey Puck. Thus Skelly aka Puck.

No question I would go for C&C vs any other in regular seed form.

El Jefe Gardens, on Strainly has Puck S1s. Thats the only place Ive ever seen Puck, in S1. They are expensive. $150 for 5. I bought 10. Its said they are very finicky.
Bob Hemphill also says the Puck Cut, is very hard to pollinate, as it doesnt breed readily, and is why he ran out of seeds the first drop a few/couple years ago. So, next/this time, he made a shit load.
Also, NWSun as Ive said, has an F2 reproduction of C&C Pacific Northwest Hashplant x Puck BC1. This is basically the same genetics as Nevils Original Hashplant, and the genetics that the Puck Originally came from. So, its possible there are even better plants to be found vs Skelly/Puck. Only difference in Bobs, and Nevils is, the Puck BC1-, was backcrossed into the Original Mother.
The cut/mother Bob Hemphill has, is the SAME PNWHP Nevil used to create his Hashplant Line. Same exact plant.

And at $45 a pack, you wont beat that. I bought 2 packs, and he gave me one free pack, of the same. I asked if any possible free seeds I get, could they be the same strain. So he gave me 1 free pack.

Same thing when I bought 2 packs of his Karma Sour Diesel BX2 Repros, he gave a free pack of same.

He also has Repro F2 of Silk Road-C&C 1 time release 3 years ago. Red Lebanese Hashplant x PNWHP x NL1. $70 a pack. I got 2 packs of those.

Another to look into is the Lucky 13 Seeds Peanut Butter Herijuana. They have the highly sought after peanut butter pheno, and have bred to represent that pheno. Like C&C has bred towards the Puck, Lucky13, has bred towards the Peanut Butter Pheno.

Asking a question like that should give you lots of options.

My vote OG Kush

Lawdi Dawdi Douggy,
I remember when Chocolate Chunk came out. Back then any package at any time got opened along it’s way to you.
I heard story after story of seeds getting snagged, emptied out packages, scary letters in the empty packages and even visits.

Anyway I wanted Chocolate Chunk when it came out but too scared to order them.
Back then THSeeds had the most exotic stuff we’d ever seen. Ironically my GFthr was test breeding California Orange.
I guess ChocChunk is up there with Deep Chunk, Monkey Balls and LA Confidential first gens.
Alot has changed.
I hope you bust off them beans.

Im popping them soon. They are def old school seeds in the little cardboard pouch. Hopefully next summer there will be a ton of chocolate chunk beans to go around

Lots of “new” old Affie lines available through people like Sovereign Farmers, Fullpower Selections etc.

Deep Chunk, Pine Tar Kush, X18 (all tom hill) would be logical areas to look

NL1 is probably the most widely used affie-dense plant used for breeding purposes. Hard to go wrong there so long as your stock is legit from legit hands.

M10/Afghani 1 is hard to argue against

Williams Wonder seems to do great on outcrosses

M10 x Purest Indica worked well for me so far as an all-affie input and is, more or less, sort of like a NL1 remix

Any of the Mr. Bob BX stuff is probably logical. Master kush, puck, pnwhp

Va Beach affie, maybe, worth a shot

NL2 from a trusted source is perhaps worth looking at

Black Domina makes a lot of sense and is essentially a grabbag of Seedbank BLD genetics.

Lots of options, really. If I were on the same mission ( and I happen to be) I’d be looking at anything from SSSC, Seedbank, Sensi from 80s-mid 90s.

Grew that out many, many years ago. Probably early 2000’s iirc.

It’s a good strain. Good yielder. Liked to grow a big single cola. Definitely grew like an afghani.

I don’t think I kept it around for more than a couple/few runs but I do remember liking the high.

Any idea where to get Suge Pure Kush beans bra? I got the Tahoe OG

I’m making R1s from four different phenos of Suge Pure Kush S1s atm but you’d have to luck out and find a pack from Motiv303’s retired label modus operandi for a direct S1.

I was never a fan of the big bud. Big yields but Mediocre taste, smell and potency (at least the ones I grew). We also used to get tons of that strain in bulk. We called it “beasters”. It was always just mediocre “kind bud” (what we used to call seed-less weed. lol)

Got a bunch of older Deep Chunk + crosses I need to grow out this next year. If anyone wants cuts I’ll be happy to share at that time :+1:

Nice! Make some R1s if you can. They’re getting old and idk if it was the way they were stored from the person I received it from but the germ rates were not great. Thinking back I should’ve started them on agar.

To find a pheno that ko’s off a puff or two for when I have low tolerance and a psychedelic buzz for when my tolerance is high.

That deep chunk f12 should be prime for outcrossing

Another vote for Deep Chunk.

Quite a dominant line. You can still see her expressions when out crossed a few generations.

I haven’t had the opportunity to try it myself so I’m going off of it’s status as a stable IBL line alone, happy to hear it’s an okay assessment.
