Greasy's Journal

Hey @meesh! Thanks for stopping by! Glad it’s not just me. I know it’s coming too. My first season outdoor was 3 years ago, and I lost half a beautiful GG#4 as I didn’t do any training, and the massive main cola was entirely rotten. Thankfully, for my needs, I also overgrew this year, so despite losses, I’m still going to have more bud at one time than any other in my life!

That’s awesome! Just wait, your perspective changes greatly when you have a surplus. I just threw out about a pound from 2 years ago and vacuum sealed about 2 pounds of last years harvest to make room for the new. I usually just do one outdoor grow for the entire year. I have yet to run out. lol Welcome to the weed hoarders club!!

I would def do a peroxide bud wash on all your plants with pm or rot. You’ll want to neutralize everything or else you’ll mold in either the dry or cure. Don’t keep anything even remotely suspect. Last year I had 2 strains mold 6 months in… My fave Orange Goji was one of them.

Good tip! I’m definitely just chucking out anything that shows any signs. With more to store I should take some more precautions

Yeah, I also noticed that hanging plants to dry that have some budrot keeps spreading as well. Best to wash it in peroxide, hang in front of fans until no longer dripping and trim it. Getting every inch out and laying on a net to dry.

It will keep spreading through the stems unless you chop off it’s head

I’m planning on doing that tomorrow morning. I’ve seen enough mold on my plants to where I think it’s worth the extra effort.

I’m taking down my last 4 plants this weekend as well. I feel your pain, especially since I harvest mine before sunrise. lol 4 Straight days of 5am wake up calls. Ugh. I hate trimming. Trim rage, its a thing.

I think I’m only planning on two of those mornings. My plants are a lot smaller than yours!

Just a close up of one of the sherbet buds. That one in particular seems to have less fade.

Cool! Makes me even more anxious to get these Sherbets I got to growing! lol
They will be getting germinated probably this winter, no later than early spring.

Indoor Update:
Flipped the plants on Saturday. Now waiting to see how the stretch goes. Looking forward to seeing what some non freebie plants from CSI can do!

Harvesting my last plant tomorrow morning, the second Northern Lights x Orange Grove. I think she could use a little more time, but after losing 1/3 of the last one to mold, I’m just going to harvest. @JustSumTomatoes thanks again for these seeds! I smoked a little bit of my first plant and it’s very narcotic and definitely sleep inducing, which is my kind of bud!
