Nice lineup! I’ve seen some solid reports on the Good ol Days cross… think I’ve got a freebie 3pk of that one too. Can’t go wrong with those bodhis too.
Thank you! I’m really excited for both the Sun Ra and the Goji OG F2, and loving the Mothers Milk F2 I have going now, so stoked to grow a bigger one! Kind of nice to mix it up with some CSI freebies, as my favorite outdoor plant to smoke last year was my Sherbert Fallen Soldier. The generosity on OG has helped me get a great lineup for this summer!
I’m excited for both of those too, the sun ra I’ve heard can be great and super dank. And Goji, we’ll it’s goji a gem in many many ways! And the MM is epic too, just a killer lineup. And that Chem cross is sure to be something potent and dank, then the dessert to end it off, all around epic choices for the jars
stoked to see what you find in the gogi f2s i got a pack from @syzygy going to be getting to them next run that good ol days sounds amazing love bubba and havent tried panama red but my dad raves about it saying it was some of his favorite smoke he use to get along with thai stick after seeing your mothers milk im going to have to try to hunt for a pack of them to try out sometime it just looks need to try some csi too his selections look killer and listened to a few podcasts with him in it seems like a quality guy and great breeder been wanting to pick up a pack of his forbidden fruit s1s and thinking one of his chem crosses too
I don’t think I’m too likely to find a Panama Red leaner based on the reviews I’ve seen on other forums, but you never know. All the examples I’ve seen so far take after Bubba, which is probably risky given my humidity, but I gotta grow one outdoor indica for edibles.
Ya agreed SunRa is great daytime / summertime herb in my book
I’m excited to see what you find as well!
Got some good action shots of the worms this afternoon. They go crazy over melon rind smoothies!

Looking great, really envious of your little outdoor plot!
What kind of smells are you getting from the Headband x Chem D? That’s CSI Humboldt, right?
Thank you! Yeah, these are CSI. It’s his Notsodog Headband cut x chem d. They smell really good! Full on citrus and chem smells, with the chem being the more powerful of the two
Indoor plants have been flowering for 45 days now. The smell factor in the tent has really increased in the past week or two. Buds are starting to chunk up, and some seeds are starting to show.

Bubba Kush, hands down my favorite plant in the tent. Beautiful chunky buds forming with coffee smells coming in! @schmarmpit how long have you let your Bubba run? I’ve read that it looks done around 8 weeks but, should be taken longer for best results? I’ve got same question on the Ken’s GDP if you can share your experience.
Ken’s GDP. I’ve had the hardest time keeping her happy, but her buds are forming well, so that’s all I can ask for. I top dressed with her with some compost and ewc two weeks ago, and she still looks the hungriest, but maybe it’s just something else off in my soil. Either way, she’s developing small and very dense nugs, smelling very sweet and fruity, and has some seeds on the way.
Mels GDP (The Herm Culprit) has passed her intersex phase. I’m glad I kept her around, because she has such a unique smell. She smells just like grape juice. Taking a whiff of her, you can taste grape juice. It’s pretty wild. She definitely pollinated herself, and am seeing minimal evidence of S1 seeds popping up in a few branches, but I’ve yet to find any indicators of seeds on other plants, in non selective pollination sites.
Mel’s GDP (non herm) has much denser nugs, and tighter node spacing than her sister, but is also a lot shorter of a plant. Her smells are a mix of fruity, earthy, and almost a little bit of sharp bitterness. Almost confusing how many different directions it goes in.
Looking good in there!
I have taken the Bubba at a few different times. At first I took them early at 8 weeks, then next time I waited 10 weeks. The smoke was great both times. I seem to have settled around 9 weeks as my preference. I can’t tell much difference between the 9 and 10 week harvests. Maybe a little heavier stone at 10 weeks but you sacrifice some of the terps.
For Ken’s GDP I take her down right around 9 weeks. I can’t keep her happy and green either, but that’s OK, the buds look healthy and she’ll be great. I recently let go of the mom because she’s slow to grow and the low yields just didn’t make up for it in the quality of smoke. Still good stuff, but Bubba blows her away IMO.
That’s great info! Thank you! I really appreciate you sharing these cuts and providing some guidance throughout the grow.
Harvested the Mothers Milk F2 and Headband x Chem D at 73 days flowering. I was away from the plants for the past two weeks, so caterpillars and boytris took their toll, ruining a number of tops. Plants ended up looking a little ragged by the end, but can’t complain for some winter/spring plants, and I think they’ll still smoke well. Did a bud wash, and I’m really glad this is something I’ve started doing this past year, as the water was pretty gross when it was done. Will do some smoke reports on them once they are dried and cured.

Bud Wash. Wash your outdoor buds!
That Headband x Chem D looks good, nice little bush for being an outdoor winter/spring run . I would’ve kept the ones I had going and just plucked the bananas off if I wasn’t making seeds at the time…couldn’t risk any cross contamination, and didn’t have a spare spot to flower them. I’m still looking forward to the smoke report though
What’s your bud wash recipe doing my first outdoor thinking I’m wanting to wash them and those look mighty fine love the structure of buds on that mothers milk such a pretty plant!
Thank you! I agree, I think it did really well aside from the sexual instability. They have a beautiful smell to them, a mix of lavender with a little menthol.
I follow Jorge Cervantes recipe: https://vimeo.com/275728566
I fill one five gallon bucket with water, and add 1 cup of peroxide, mix and swirl for five minutes. This round I did a second bucket with a lemon and 1/4 cup baking soda for another five minutes. After that I lightly rinse the buds in the sink with a shower faucet setting, and then put them over a box fan to dry back to pre-dunked moisture. I’m probably losing trichomes, but with all the caterpillars and bud rot I have to deal with, I have no issue with that.
You are not losing trichs or hurting your bud in any way by washing it. Buds not water soluble. I only use peroxide if I have pm. If not just lemon and baking soda does the trick nicely. Once you wash bud you can never really go back or smoke dirty bud. Once you see that water it’s pretty much settled lol. It is gross the nasty that comes off isn’t it?
My indoor plants didn’t seem to miss me when I was gone. Everyone seems to be doing quite well, and nearing the finish. The two clones, GDP and Bubba are ahead of the two seed plants by probably two weeks I’m thinking. I’ve got some seeds forming on the GDP and Bubba so am going to take them to 75 days to finish. Today we are day 64 of flowering.
Group:
Ken’s GDP- She has mostly eaten her leaves to finish up, but the buds are nice and tight, and she is purpling a little for me! Smells fruity and grapey.
Bubba Kush- My favorite plant in the tent! Incredibly dense, chunky coffee smelling buds.
Mel’s GDP- Lanky pheno. Smells just like grape juice. Unfortunately her sexual instability has continued, and she has thrown out a few more late nanners. Plenty of S1 seeds forming, but unless it’s killer smoke I don’t know if they would be worth the trouble growing.
Mel’s GDP - Squat pheno. I think this pheno shows a lot of similarity to the Ken’s GDP, but with fuller buds.
