Greasy's Journal

Plants usually go into flowering here at the end of July, so I’ve got about a month I think. I can top them later this week giving them a few more days to recover from their transplants, and should have at minimum three weeks before flowering. I am thinking that a little less time to recover outweighs bigger more mold prone buds. Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah man your plants are looking strong, healthy. Topping and training is good for helping them branch out. I do some lollipopping and clearing out the small shoots on the inside when they get big and bushy, helps with airflow and reduces the chance of mildew. Looks like you’ll have some nice trees soon!

Thank you! Your plants are an inspiration for me in years to come when I get my own place and can plant in the ground. I’ll definitely do some good defoliation on them as they bush out to try and maximize airflow. Appreciate your guidance.

I’m honoured :smiling_face_with_tear: really appreciate that  they’re an inspiration to me too, as well as your plants here, and many others. Thank you for sharing them with me and allowing me to experience them, through you.

I just put up some nets around the Blockhead, it should be hitting 6’ tall by the end of the week  what did I get myself into…1 or 2 monsters is manageable, but 10+ lol. It’s worth it though, I never thought in a million years my backyard would look like this

They are majestic. If they get any bigger you should be able to have a picnic underneath them!!! You are living the dream my friend.

Indoor Update: Plants are just about 8 weeks from flip, 54 days. Thinking they have at least 2-3 weeks left in them. They have been starting to bulk more in the past two weeks for sure.

Terp Daddy X Platinum Punch #1 Plant 1. I prefer the structure on this one and the nugs on this one. Very tight and dense.

My Pura Vida plant threw a few balls from a light leak early on in flowering. I thought I had snipped them all in time, but seeing a Pura Vida F2 X (Terp Daddy x Platinum Punch #1) seed developing.
Terp Daddy x Platinum Punch #1 Plant 2. The frostiest plant in the tent, especially all the lower nugs. Buds are a lot looser though than the first plant.

Looking like a Pura Vida F3 seed brewing!
Pura Vida F2. @nube I didn’t really follow your instructions to pop a lot of these as they are f2’s, but I think despite it being the smallest, it’s my favorite plant in the tent. Has a really nice sweet swell and some nice thick, dense bud structure. It really didn’t like it’s soil mix, think it had too much nitrogen for it, but I am very pleased with how it’s turned out

Good to see you bringing home the bacon - all the plants look good! I’m sorry the Pura Vida threw nanners on you - first time I’ve heard of a PV doing that, but I feel like it’s a spectrum and almost the whole gene pool will do it under the right conditions, each seed having different potential. That one does look a little dark compared to some of the other plants, but that’s just how it goes. No big deal. You got plenty more seeds, so if that one doesn’t work out, pop some more! :stuck_out_tongue:

About the seed on the PV F2, if it for sure came from the PV F2 dropping a bit of pollen, they’re not considered F3. Filial (F) generation terminology is used for regs, but yours is resulting from female pollen (fem). In your case I think they’d be 1st generation selfed PV F2, or (PV F2) s1. Something like that anyway. Hope there aren’t too many of them, but couldn’t hurt to try!

Wishing you much success and a happy harvest!

No need to apologize on your end. The nanners were environmental, nothing to do with the plant. Once I got the leak squared away they stopped. Thanks for clearing up the filial generations, and for checking out the plant! It’s fun to be able to show the grow to the creator, and get feedback. Your Pura Vida seed run was what inspired me to join OG. Seeing the plants grown out and reported on, and then shared to anyone interested just struck me as this being the place to be. Thanks for all your work you do for OG!

Already posted this in the CSI thread, I wanted to let everyone here know of the great customer service I’ve had with CSI from my 4/20 order buying direct I unfortunately got a pack that didn’t germinate, and after letting him know about it, he gave me a massive hookup in replacement seeds. It did take a few weeks of following up with emails to remind him, but it was well worth the wait.

.
Going to get some of these going in my next tent photo run, and will be a lifelong customer with this kind of service!

Nice always happy to hear about someone backing their gear up. There really are a million variables on why a pack didn’t germ. Always good to see how they handle it.

Yeah, total class on this one. With him backing his stuff up this way, he now has my business from here on out whenever he makes anything I’m interested in. I’m blown away by his generosity. Funny thing is, after placing my first order on his sale, I bought another pack from him not on sale, so I at least didn’t look like I was just wanting a handout. Now I’ve got like six strains of his, aside from his mystery freebies to run!

Damn bro, that’s one pretty plant you have there.

Yeah, definitely have to give that one a go. I’m not old enough to have ever experienced Panama Red, so this is my chance to see it in a cross. I’ve read on another forum that a lot of his freebies that aren’t mystery strains, have a higher hermi potential, so might leave that for next year’s outdoor season. Part of me wants to just pop em now, and sneak em outside late, just don’t think I’ll have the room.

Hahaha I have a fleet waiting to go outdoors. Need to get this tree work don’t asap.

Thank you! I got these seeds as freebies buying some autoflowers from Rocbudinc. I’m still dialing in my indoor growing style, so thought they were a good low risk strain to try. He is kind of the definition of a pollen chucker breeder, as he doesn’t test his strains prior to release, so they have really exceeded my expectations. I’m totally impressed with them. Appreciate you stopping by!

I can’t wait to be able to tell someone I have “a fleet waiting to go outdoors”. That’s a beautiful statement man. Can’t wait to see how they do. Your journal is all fire strains!

I usually pull for the smaller breeders. Hell I ran a couple briscos jelly pie for 5 generations. If your willing to dig can find gold in any pack. I have some catching up to do but if you ever wanna try anything don’t hesitate to ask. @Greasy
