No, the surf there was full on. Very intimidating in the more well known spots. I found a few spots that were sheltered and more forgiving. It was also by far the sharkiest place i’ve ever surfed.

Way too sharky mate, my friend got hit off his board twice over 1km out at the bombie by a 5 meter white… some how he paddled in unscathed on about 2ft of what was left of his 7ft board.
He still surfs out there, they aren’t wired right out west haha

I went shark cage diving out there, and after seeing those 5 meter beasts in person, I was pretty spooked all the time in the water there. I kinda regretted having gone and actually seen them with my own eyes.

@JustSumTomatoes I’ve seen you recommending to not top your Orange Grove plants. I was wondering if you felt the same about the Northern Lights x Orange Grove as well? I’m a little concerned if I have one main cola that the humidity I have will be too much for such a heavy indica, but definitely want your feedback before topping.

He would definitely know better than me but I quadlined my NLxOG and it slowed down some but seems to be responding ok otherwise.

You can go ahead and play around with the Norge. The Northern lights adds enough stretch and vigor that it won’t stunt it as much as the pure Orange Grove.

Outdoor Update:
I’ve learned a lot from other outdoor growers on here for how to organize and get your season started. This is the most ambitious season I’ve started on, and still not very big compared to a lot of others on here, but I’ve learned that I could probably do things a lot more efficiently, and probably start a little earlier. I decided to have my plants sex tested, so started 10 regulars, and ended up with 4 females, while also starting one fem seed. Current plant count is 5 females, with one Pura Vida F2 seedling that will be grown out and hopefully be a female! Don’t think there is any more time to really get any more seeds started, but I think 5 plants worst case should still be a fun season.
@JustSumTomatoes Here are the Norge, I am planning on up potting them to 7 gallons in about a week or so, so they continue their nice pace of growth.
Zkittlez Bx4. The last Zkittlez here was basically topped by a grasshopper in it’s early life, but has kind of worked out to be a nice structure given it’s slower start from the bug abuse. I plan on topping the au natural plant in another node or so.
Sunset Sherbert X Mystery. This was a “Fallen Soldier” freebie from CSI Humboldt. Will get into a 3 gallon pot soon.
1 remaining Pura Vida F2. I had the other two sex tested, and both turned out to be male. Fingers crossed this one is a lady!
Ghost Rose X Cookie Devil Auto. Will be harvesting this weekend. Won’t get much of a yield here, but it’s really frosty.

I’m trying to root the topped cutting’s I took, and if I can I think I would like to try and get some sts to try and make some femmed f2s of these. If they don’t root, maybe I’ll try and take a few more cuttings before they go into flower

I’m hoping I can find some of the sleep qualities from the Orange Grove, with a bit more resistance to rot. The reversal would be a first for me, but I think this is a nice plant to start with.

Outdoor Update:
Got everyone transplanted into their final pots after a week away. Everyone showed some nice growth. Figure they have another 3 or 4 weeks until they start transitioning into flowering, so I’m hoping they will really start to put on size.

I have a question for you outdoor growers @Oldtimerunderground @JustSumTomatoes @FattyRoots how many times would you top your plants? The 4 larger ones have already had one topping, but I think I’m going to give them another. My group is pretty much all Indica leaning, so I want to take as many steps as I can to reduce mold as the season goes on. I’m assuming that the more times I top, the smaller the buds will end up being, so more topping would be better.

How long before they go in to flower mate?
This is what I do but ideally you would do you final topping at least a month before they transition
