I went to pick up some promix today and all they had was sunshine mix 4 in the black and blue bag. Can anyone tell me what the perlite ratio is. I know octopot says it works well out the bag but just curious. I need two bales so thinking about mix with promix ho or sunshine 4 advanced if I can’t find another original

I’ve used promix out of the bag with great results
But I prefer to add 25 % more

Just my experience but I have found sunshine 4# to have PH consistency issues. I bought a bunch when it was half off at the end of summer and I have had problems with it since. Im going back to promix as a base.

I usually add 10 15 percent to promix. Just not sure if I need to add any to the sunshine 4. I was just reading over the bag it looks to have 30 to 40 % perlite so I think with will be good to go. Going to hit the other grow shop after I get the kids from school. See if I can’t get the same product

Are you in a octopot

When you do your planting into the octopot and have the one and only top watering do you use anything like recharge or worm tea during that time. Or do you just use the jacks same as in the res

No just fabric pots. It was my first time using it and I thought it was high end when I got it. Immediately started getting yellowing seedlings and other problems. Did a slurry test and it was showing 4.9ph. I have been trying to manage it since with dolomite lime and other stuff to raise the soil Ph. Just my personal experience but if you are running important seeds/cuts I would do a slurry test before using to make sure you’re happy with the PH.

Hit the other hydro shop in town and got promix hp I could of got sunshine 4 advanced but figure the promix will match the original sunshine 4 a little better that i bought earlier. A couple more small jobs and I’ll be ready to up pot to the octos. Legend og and Cap junky are up to bat. I’m expecting legend to out grow cap junky in height. Thinking about only putting a trellis up in half of the tent. Or maybe I’ll just let it go and see if I can keep her controlled with lst lol. So far my favorite thing about finally being legal in Ohio is leaving the carbon filters out of the tent. I get so much better air flow with out them. My neighbors are cool one side planning a spring grow the other smokes herself so figure why not.

I use jacks and I mix In rhizotonic to help root development
It’s expensive but I feel it worth it I see bid white roots and lots of them

As Im pulling all these clones from the mother tent to the octopots I can’t help but notice how much room I have in the mom tent. The voice in my head saying pop seeds lol

What I do is once Octopots clones establish themselves well
I cull moms and clone the Octopots just before flip this way I keep moms small
But and empty tent to me means crack so seeds lol
