Greenbee Basement Boutique room #1 octos

Well now it just time to wait for the roots to hit the rez. I took one of my old 7 gal rain science grow bags I use to run before the octos. Cut a x in the center of the bottom and inserted the hydro wick. I figure they will do about the same as the grow sleeve. Feels good to have things going again. I decided against popping some seeds just yet once spring a little close. I’m wanting to try my hand at outdoors this season. I have some great genetics tho it hard to pick.

Great job
Those babies are going to get big once the roots hit the reservoir in about 15 to 20 days

Remember only fill the reservoir to the first level until the roots hit

Looks amazing

Yeah I set them at the first mark. I usually will let them get all the way down before refilling. But recently read that may not be best for root growth. Do you let you octo go dry before refills ?

Mostly not all empty at once so some get topped off

Coming up with plans for the outdoor grow this spring. I have my house to grow and my dad has his but will grow whatever I give him lol so I have two strains that are suppose to be 100% indica the first is the la affie from budderton and the second is the sloth from San. Thinking of crossing the two to keep the 100% indica but I have no idea what I’m really doing is this a decent idea

I think I’m going to do that and not let it go as dry like I did before if I can help it lol

I like to let it run dry when I change fertilizer

Or if I use compost tea

I think so lol or at least try to find a nice couple pheno. I have so many seeds that sound killer. Thinking about recruiting a few more locals to pass seeds to and see what comes up.

All is good in the grow. Everything looks healthy and happy once they find the rez the show will start. I was wondering if anyone has ever played with far red light at the end of the light cycle. Back when I was researching and getting all my equipment to start growing I got into reading about it. Basically at the end of the light cycle you use far red for 10 min. It suppose to help the plant transfer over the deep red to far red to fall asleep quicker. Giving the plant more rest and increase metabolism. I decided to set it up I don’t think I’ve used it since I’ve had the octopots. I have t even seen anyone using the far red so I was just curious. Bruce bugsbee has a great video on how to suppose to work

When you transfer them into the Octopot did you ever try jets turbo method?

? Did you break up the root ball before transferring them ?

No I have some 4 inch square by 11 inch tall pot I think they call them tree starters pot. I’ll put the clone into one of those for 3 weeks. Fill the octopot with a empty container in the center and pack it around it. Then I’ll pull the empty out and put the clone into the octopot kinda like a plug. I do loosing up the bottom of the clone I figure it 11 inch deep from the start it not to far from the res. I need to try the turbo cup method tho it seems to work well. I’ll keep track and get some photos when I first see roots in the res.

Santa came early this year. I received some snips from a wonderful member thanks big time. Lemon g never in a millions year would I of thought I’d get a shot at growing her back when I was buying/smoking the bud but here she is. She been at the top of my favorite bags list for awhile and now I get to run myself. Added a few other plants into the cloner to get ready for a couple of buddies. Makes the cloner not look so empty. The grow moving along just being patient waiting for roots.

There definitely on the right track need them roots in the res. There holding there own tho I’m happy with where there at. I think the last grow I veg three weeks from planting into the octopot. And the same the grow before that. Going to let this one go a bit longer and get more developments of roots in the res before flipping.

Any good recommendations on a humidifier. I use a small table top cool mist humidifier currently. It doing it job I got the tent at 80 degrees at 62% humidity right but that giving it all it has last about 6 hours before empty. Humidity in the basement is 33% had to put the humidifier in the tent to get those numbers. Would rather a larger unit in the lung room
