After putting the new clones under some light for a couple hours and a fresh drank they look better already Mac 1 and white rhino look like they been traveling but Frankenstein looks flawless Like she been here for weeks most be a pretty tough plant. I’ll give them some Tlc for a couple days I think they will adjust well.

I will take the green tie wire I used to do the LST with double and triple it up and wire tie my light right to the top poles of the tent

If done that before with some thicker wire but doing it now with the plants in is going to be a major pain. It maybe just what I gotta do tho. How things going down there? Weather here about to take a dive and be more normal for this time of year. I read yesterday Columbus broke a 126 year old record for rain fall in January. It has always been snow in January no rain the weather the last few years has been crazy.

How everyone weekend going? I’m just fooling around in the grow and getting things ready for my son bday party tomorrow. You can’t even tell I did a heavy defoliation at day 13 it day 19 now. Going to do another defol probably day 25. Legend og is ready to build some buds looking nice and strong going into week 4. Cap junky doing great also putting out tons of bud sites I think both strains are about done stretching. I did manage to get my light about 4 inches higher it is now MAXED out there is no higher. Going to move over to the mother tent to do some watering. Does anyone here use the blumat stakes? I’m curious to how well they work. I’m wanting to set the mothers up on some type of auto watering system.
I found this pump on Amazon. It cheap but works great if you need to drain the octos
Lemon g gets to join the mom box today. I up potted her this morning gave a nice foliar spray she looking happy. Can’t wait to grow this one out and spread to the OG. The newest clone are still in quarantine but are looking good. It just part of the process here at greenbees for anything coming in to the grow. Soon they will get up potted and part of the mom box.

I’ve got a ? For my fellow octo user. This run I’ve been watching my ec level a lot more. What I e been doing checking the res ec every 24 hours until empty. Legend and cap junky been getting the same feed 1.3 ec. I’ll check 24 hrs later legend ec is 1.3 cap junky ec is 1.2 and stays that way until empty. So in my head legend right where she wants to be but cap junky a little hungry. The last res fill I up it to 1.4 ec for both strains. 24 hours later legend is now 1.5 which is the first it ever went up leading me to believe it trying to drink more than eat . Cap junky for the first time is staying at the 1.4. would I be correct to think legend og happy spot is 1.3 and cap junky 1.4. Ec

I used to worry about all that in dwc
Now I don’t worry about it and just watch for tip burn clawing etc
I only have one Rez and I flood and drain , so individual readings I don’t do ( easy life )
As long as I know thru out flower I am raising ec and am 0.1-0.2 lower befor tip burn clawing etc , I’m happy

Thank you ifish I always thought you ran octopot.once I bumped it up now the legend has slight tip burn starting. Going to drain it and put it back at 1.3

If I see the very hint of lightening in very tip , I lower ec by 0.1 and I take a note of w and new ec for next grow as baseline
Over a few grows it becomes known what ec is best as guide for each week in your system and envio

In high heat of summer ( heatwave ) I lower guide ec as plant drinking more 0.1-0.2
Of if I know strain maybe nute sensitive say blueberry as example , again lower ec from guide level by 0.1-0.2

The difference between 0.1 in feed come harvest won’t be worth the hassle in yield and you have more chance to do more harm than good by trying
Keep them safe and happy , sure yes you want to be in the upper part of the parameter but not toooo close ( risky )
Using the feed schedule is pushing way more than using bottle grow shedual anyways
Pushing the ratio means you don’t need to push the ec as hard as you will be pushing what’s needed only so realistically actually pushing harder than the higher ec of bottle shedual ( hard to put in words )
I hang with the octo peeps , they a great bunch and some are long time friends , we share the same feed shedual and bottom feed

Thanks so much. I think my previous grow I pushed to hard. 1.3 I feel was there happiest I may even put it at 1.2. I’m going to keep it there 1.4, 1.5 I started seeing negative signs. The summer here aren’t to bad on the grow and I’m in a basement. The winter I have to run a heater and a humidifier and more of a pita. I shoot to keep the environment pretty consistent using the pulse vpd chart. Thanks again I appreciate you and the knowledge very much.

Every week I up ec by 0.1 using 0.1 of pk13/14 on top of original base feed
W3 1.2 1/3/2
W4 1.2 1/3/2 plus 0.1 pk
W5 1.2 1/3/2 plus 0.2pk
W6 1.2 1/3/2 plus 0.3pk
W7 1.2 1/3/2 plus 0.4pk
W8 finish feed starts 1.2 1/2/5 and lowering each w
I don’t like going over 1.6 total and that includes calmag etc
So the 1.2 1/3/2 is calmag and any other supliment included also
That’s my base ec guide I use for my system and eviro and adjust if needed from there
I use 1/2/2 as I in eu as I find it cheep here chempak 8 but if I could get 1/3/2 cheaper here I would , as no big difference , still pushing what we want , no need to be super exact , paying stupid money

As are so many things, seems to be bell curved and I would expect plants to be very happy following these ratios.

Veg , balanced feed , plant just cruzing wants for nothing , if feeding 1/1/1 total every couple week hit with w3 type at appropriate ec just to top up p and k as they be slightly lacking
Stretch , plants growing leaf and stem , push n whatever left over will go into leafs as a bank if needed in flower
Flower , plant growing buds , push p and k equalish amounts
Finish , take away p 1/2/5 type
Without the equal p with k plant will struggle to make more bud and is forced to finish , the k keeps plant healthy till end / chop
