Grove Bags.... Has anyone tried them on a cure?

Pretty sure you’re gonna need at least a few Z’s in those names, or nobody will ever take you seriously on IG. Sorry, I mean seriouZly.

Just wanted o update I had occasion to crack open a few other bags and it’s mixed between some terps and some hay. I know I dried some in winter months and they dried way faster than I would like so that could definitely contribute. Another one that had that old “tea” smell turned out not to be sealed :grimacing:

I have some fresh bud curing right now in some though.

I would buy those if I grew more than a couple pounds of one strain. Those 1lb grove bags in weathertite totes are kicking ass for me.

Yup, too big for me and my 4-6 flowering plants at a time. I use the one pound bags too for the first month and then repack into the half pounders, ounces, and quarters to heat seal for long term storage. The big bags are great for being careful with the buds when you turn them just after bucking, and I think they’re reusable for a long time. I keep them in an old dresser in the corner before they go into the weed and seed fridge.

Do you put your Grove bags in the fridge? If so do you do it right away or once you transfer to smaller bags?

@420noob I trim fan leaves, hang for 2-3 weeks, dry trim with a scraper tool mostly, then buck them into the big bags. I try to leave pieces of stem attached when practical on the basis of the Notsodog technique. I might burp in paper this time around, I had good success with that before getting the Groves. After they’re in the big bags I leave them in the dresser for a month or two until the cure seems to be going good, then they get bagged and sealed smaller and I take the last ounce or so for my immediate stash to stay out. Once they’re in the ounce bags I usually have 1-3 depending on yield, the first one goes back in the drawer at basement room temp like 75°F, the rest go in the fridge at 40°F and don’t get touched for a few months, when they come out they are usually sorta like a months cure instead of 2-3, very fresh and I think the cool cure makes it better. I usually put 58% Boveda in the bags but I don’t think it makes a big difference either way if you heat seal. Any bags I have open usually have a pack in them, the zippers aren’t super tight though they’re fine.

I read about the heat sealing. I have a food saver vacuum heat sealer. That should work correct. Just got to put a little dab of silicon?

So the deal with the groove bags is, cut down plant, dry for 7 days and then into groove bags and not open at all again till cure is Finished?
No burpie

100% what I just did with a stash of my BamBam that I didn’t feel like shuckin… and man the smells that came out when I opened right now to finish pulling seeds was damn good. I’m sold on these bags.

Plant finished 4 months ago mind you and the rest of it has just been sitting in this bag ever since.

I’m honestly not sure… @other_barry put me onto them and I just grabbed some QP bags and so far so good. The velvet bags are a little nicer according to what I’ve read/hear so I grabbed those.

I just bought some international stamps my brotha! I’ll hit you up for your info as soon as I get them!

What’s the difference between:
Wicket bags
Terplock bags
Regular groove bags
Anyone.? Don’t wanna get the wrong item.

I don’t vac them, just press extra air out. The suggestion of silicone was if you want to vac them but I wouldn’t.

Terploc are opaque and thicker for sure, and have zippers. I think they’re also intended to be reusable whereas the wicket are like turkey bags one use

@Dirt_Wizard so all the bags do the same thing basically. Can’t actually get the wrong ones.

I don’t see how it would be any different. I’ve only used the 1 lb bags. I even fold them for less weight, and then zip it. Works like a champ stored in my weathertite totes.

That statement alone makes starting this thread worth it . LOL
I’m glad they are working out for folks on here. I thought they might sound too good to be true. I’m sold on them personally.
