My electricity is still cutting out. It’s making life challenging. It’s been pretty good all day but has started acting up again tonight. No matter. I just put in the 250W HPS. And got everything back on track. I don’t like to be a Debbie Downer, so never mind all that…
I guess this will be a good guide to see how autos grow when the lights just randomly cut out at certain periods. The Fan (RVK) keeps going. Sometimes it takes a while for the HPS to kick back in, but it does eventually. I have everything on surge protectors and my house has been checked socket to socket to make sure it is electrically sound. This happens sometimes here but is worse than I’ve ever known it. I’m just going to have to roll with it. Back to the grow…
So those girls got 2 weeks under CFL/LED to sprout and grow. They got another 2 weeks under 150W HPS to veg. And now exactly 4 weeks later, they get to go under 250W HPS for their final 4 weeks of life. Apart from the random cut outs of power, everything is working well and I’m keeping an eye on it. The temps have dropped here and the power grid is just playing catch-up – it will right itself in a few days.
So…
I was ready to chuck that damaged girl out but when I checked on the tent this morning I was surprised how well she rallied. She’s doing too good and I won’t be getting rid of her unless she gets much worse. The other plants are too different now and developed to do any meaningful HST/LST, so I won’t be messing with that. This is it. I’m going to finish growing these 3 girls and see where it goes.

Ok, this is the second plant that is doing ok, but still not as tall as the other girl:

And that’s about that.
I stuck my 250W HPS in and it’s working great (apart from electricity supply). Fan is working great. Girls seem happy. Tall girl has been making most of the space available to her at the back there so she’s started branching out horizontally as well as vertically. I guess this is her new home as she likes it there.
Still haven’t raised up the little damaged girl too far in to the light as she’s still recovering. Put the other middle girl back in her spot, because she seems to like it there as well. It’s all one great big experiment.
