Growin' and Chuckin'

Holy shut bro. So dank. The super stank. Nothing comes close to a killer Sour D, IMO. I crossed your Frosted Altoids to both phenos. One is more Sour D, the other Chemdog. I didn’t make f2s, but I have 8 seeds left and plan on making femd beans.

And currently on my way to get a breeder cut of Modified Grapes for one of the mothers  stoked af about that! Getting it for free too   and I’ll be doing a CBD cross this season which I’m pretty excited about!

Sierra CBD - some of the prettiest and best tasting CBD I’ve had to date

Both 518 Sour Diesels are great, but one leans a lot more towards the Sour D side of the backcross. Chopping any day now. Resin glands are 5% amber. Nothing but water the last 3 weeks. Flavor is straight Sour Diesel. Pics- bottom nug, plant shot, and top nug.

Looks great, man :exploding_head:. I learned something new today…518 Sour diesel, didn’t know it existed, that’s awesome! It happens to be my area code! I’m late to the show but I’ll be hanging around!

I looked to see if I could find the beans, but it looks like White rabbit doesn’t have a seed section.

Edit: said 518 it was my zipcode! I must have been fried.

I chopped my garden about a week ago. Today I trimmed and started curing. The 518 is a great representation of the Sour Diesel. Better yield. Super sticky buds. Impressive smell. Incredible smell! I’d take an educated guess and say the remaining phenos will be somewhere in between Sour D and Chemdog, like the the last two. No nanners, btw. I crossed the 518 Sour D to Frosted Altoids.(pictured here) Next round is 518 f2, 518 Sour D x (Wedding Cake x Fatso bx1), and 518 Sour D x Valley Vixen f2.

Very awesome! I should have realized people were working during prohibition, but I’m just starting to see local cultivars now that I am looking. I’ve also heard of the Albany Headband just recently, I suppose it has similar lineage. Man, I;ve got alot to learn. Those beans look beautiful also, nice n healthy! I’ve been trying to track down an oldschool local favorite here in the Adirondacks called Bleacker Skunk. The old heads are still not keen on talking about or sharing their grows yet. I do have a lead on the strain, but it was crossed to something years back (all tall tales and legends). Now I just have to get the dang mountain man to convince his “uncle” to let a few go. :crossed_fingers:

I remember driving to NYC in 1987 to buy skunk bud. It was $60 an eighth! Best skunk ever! The first time I saw frosty buds. It was a sketchy apt. complex. The only time we went, an old man tripping on lsd was there. That was one of the stinkiest buds until I started touring with the Grateful Dead in 89 and smoked kind bud. LOL aka Deadhead OG, aka OG or OG Kush. Very few times does my wife tell me the house stinks. Last few times she has were now with 518 Diesel, Peacemaker by Altitude Farms, Casper OG and Valley Vixen from Archive Seeds, 303 Seeds Aspen OG, and the clone only GG#4. All the same lineage as OG, which comes from skunk and Kush.

Look for White :rabbit2: latest menu on his IG page and reach out.

Ahh ok, didn’t check instagram, just found a dispensary called white rabbit. I’ll have to check them out! Thank you. And you’ve got brass balls lol.NYC in the eighties was a very scary place to me. Went to see Jerry Band around '93 (11th grade) at MSG i think and this small town kid was overwhelmed! (could have been the acid).

The next round in the works.
10 518 Frost (518 Sour D x Frosted Altoids)
6 Lemon Poppy Cake (Wedding Cake x Fatso bx1)

Added a new fish fertilizer to the mix. It’s very acidic but very mild strength. Like a 1-3-2. My Headbanger Haze clone is going to a friend’s tomorrow. I’ve been feeding her and she’s exploded. Love the fish fertilizers! My other fermented organic fertilizer is also fish. Shit kicks ass. But, it will be nice to shut the tent down for a month.

Feeling good now. All the clones for friends are gone. Flowering tent is off. I grabbed another pack of Sour Diesel. Awesome freebie this time. All 11 518 Frost are thriving. Only 6/11 Wedding Cake x Fatso popped and one of those may die. First seed pic is 518 Frost, second seed pic are WC x Fatso. Seeds matter.

Quietly, in my little corner….
Busy with life away from the internet. Consistently producing organic fire. I have very high expectations for this next crop. Unfortunately the Wedding Cake x Fatso bx1, aka Fat Cakes, did not germinate well. Only 5 of 11, but the five look great. 518 Sour x Frosted Altoids, aka Sour Altoids, germinated 11/11.

First feeding for plants yesterday…. 1/4 dose of both Bio Thrive Grow and Indian River Organics Fish and Kelp Seaweed yesterday. Topped all the plants today, each plant with three internodes and six branches remaining.

Ok. Next step’s in place but found out my reliable go to for watering my plants is out of town the same time as me. I should barely finish these little plants but looks like I’ll abort the clones.

Edit: Tossed 30 clones and the HBH f2 mom today😢

Things have blown up a bit. I love the structure and uniformity of the 518 Frost. The Wedding Crosses are sloppy OG’s, with one well structured plant. Two males tossed. I have my eye on about seven more that could be male and the other so I have no idea yet. I transplanted to 2gal pots yesterday. There are a few that I did not transplant just because I can see male pollen sacs forming

Open pollination complete. I always hit my plants early and bud. I yield a very high percentage, around 90% of tiger striped viable seed. Amazing number of females in the Sour Altoids. Also noteworthy is the structure and uniformity of the plants. 5 were short bushy and one tall lanky. Out of 5 viable Wedding Cake x Fatso bx1seeds, 3 are female. Leaves are getting frosty.
