Yours looks more sativa than mine… You may have the 5000 week one. lol
Buckle up. It may be awhile.
Hey @Nagel420. Do you happen to know if deer enjoy coleus? I have deer Marauders coming through my yard at night eating everything in my beds. Peace
Blessings…
Hey, I don’t have any deer, but they hate cosmos!!! I planted them once and never had to again. Their volunteer game is strong. From what I’ve read coleus are pretty far down on the deer’s list. Oh yeah, they hate delphiniums too.
Are you getting any smells from your Kashmir @Meesh? I get absolutely no smell from any of the three. Pretty early, though.
These orchids were one plant about 15 mins ago. I must have had that plant for 20 years now. It grew another crown about 3 years ago. It has never been transplanted ever. I’m really nervous that they will die. I must have watched 1000 YouTube videos on how to do it, but cutting roots makes me nervous. The folks on YouTube say that I should wait like 3 or 4 days before I give it water. Send green thumb plant juju my way guys. Here’s hoping!
Yes! If there was a vision that went with a smell, I picture Morocco, harem girls, camels an oasis in the desert, Royalty smoking from a hookah. Strong smell of spices, incense and burnt rubber.
Dad just smells fuel lol
So, I was actually home today for my gardener. I know, I know a gardener who has a gardener. He mows, edges and cuts back my trees and hedges. Anyway, I asked him to very carefully weed whack the grass underneath all the girls. I had tore a bunch out, but if he cuts the grass down low, it won’t grow back as much now as the girls will pretty much shade it out. Yay! I told him not to accidentally hit the trellises though or he’ll puncture through the plastic. lol Don’t be killing my fancy trellises!
The pink primrose plants I put in the front rose bush planter has reseeded themselves and started new mini plants all throughout the planter. I am absolutely overjoyed as I was hoping it would be invasive. lol Nothing wrong with some low growing native wildflower cover in that planter. I love it! It’s just gonna be a tall carpet of delicate pink flowers throughout the rose bushes. There is also a catmint aka nepata plant in there that MOTR sent me from her garden in Alaska 2 years ago that is finally blooming this year. Pretty delicate blue flower spikes. It started to come up in early summer and my cat ate it, then it started again and the gardener thought it was a weed and chopped it down. It would have been so big had none of that happened. I had also thrown a bunch of sweet alyssum seeds in there in the spring. I sprinkle them everywhere and they usually only grow where I don’t want them, like cracks in the driveway. Alas, they have come up and add a really pretty delicate bunch of white flowers and since it’s a north facing planter they have stretched, so the blooms are really long instead of compact. I’d take a photo, but I’d rather wait a few days until the primrose throws out more pink blooms as it’s in the middle of a cycle and the last flush just died off.
The GDP smell coming off my frosty PWC has inspired me. I’m rolling a bunch of Granddaddy doobies for the weekend!
ooh frosty indeed! Looking like you’ll be in for a treat
It was Dad Sunday. He made another trellis layer for the Sunshine Daydream. I gave all the girls a liquid fish drench. Hoping it stops the yellowing. Buds look fine and frosty, it just seems awfully early to be shedding so many fans. Next week we are setting up the fans on a timer that measures the temp. Set it maybe 2 degrees above the dew point so they come on automatically when the humidity gets to wet. We have to play with this gadget we bought but it should work. All of my outdoor container garden plants got fed a bloom fert today as well.
On a personal note, after 30 years of friendship and 8 years of dating, I’m finally letting my man move in as there is no official engagement yet, but we have discussed our future and are going to start going forward towards marriage. Its a really happy time for us. @cannabissequoia will be stoked as he always says we need to get married and adopt a bunch of refugee children. We are planning to adopt, but only refugee dogs. lol Anyways, Once we return from Turks and Caicos we will be exploring storage options for our collectibles and holiday decorations. Pretty much cleaning out the whole house and starting kind of fresh as we want it to be “Our” home and not “My” home. The house is tiny, so clearing this place out is gonna be cathartic as well. I just have too much stuff.
Edit: Orchids are still alive, got first watering after transplant.
He does know he has to share you with us, right?
Best wishes on the future. peace
Haha! Thank you @GMan! Yes! He has known this fact for years now. He’s been hushed many a time or put on hold with “Hold on Honey, I’ve got to finish this post on my forum”. It’s all good. He gets me.
So cool… I’ll play the role of “Cousin It” & drop by for crop testing ASAP.
Congratulations Meesh!!
I’m happy for the both of ya!
