Gumbert's First Grow Log -- FRANKENSTEIN

The Frankie Sisters are in their new 5 gallon grow bags.

I hate to move these pretty ladies back in the house…. I swear I saw one of them smile while staging them for these pictures.

That said it will be easier to-keep them in veg inside. Ms Trish is not going to be happy when she sees her pantry this afternoon…

I need to study up on taking clones.

You have perfect candidates for dual duty! Taking cuttings for clone as well as topping.
#1 those two longer tops, in another week will be great for doing both duties.
#2 pretty much the same story there also, give em another week or two and all 4 of the tops will be good for it.
#3 in a couple of weeks will give up 4 at least
#4 that gal can give you two nice clones right now! lol
When you take the clones, DON’T cut it at the stem… leave at least one node on the stem you cut from. That will usually give you a couple more stems/potential cola budsites.

Do you have a good LED light for em?
If not, at least a decent 600-1000watt Metal Halide?
I’d go with a 600watt switchable/adjustable MH/HPS
That’s IF you don’t have an adjustable full spectrum LED

Yes, I have 2 LED panels with adjustable drivers and one led panel that has veg and bloom settings.

The pic in post#4961 on the circus is a DIY 3’x4’(1"x2" framing) using
Bridgelux / BXEB-L1190U-30E3000-C-C3 full spectrum strips with
MeanWell / XLG-240-H-A (adjustable)driver

DigiKey is the place to purchase that stuff, to make your own a lot cheaper/better than any straight up commercial units lol
That one cost less than #250.00 (everything) and commercial comparable ones run over $1500
edit… I say ‘comparable’ lol but they really can’t compare to it!

Back in the pantry where I can control the light. Looking for a plan to build a light fixture for the north end of the GH.

@Mr.Sparkle is very knowledgeable in this field. It was with his advice and design we made ours. He has a thread about building DIY LEDs

edit… DigiKey also has a forum for help

also another of their forums

@Gumbert the thread and forums should give you a damn good start on building very nice LEDs on the cheap. Save yourself a LOT of money!
