It’s a blast to shoot now, lol I’m just not as accurate as I should be where it’s so awkward.
Yeah, the Lee Enfield is is not very light but sure get’s the job done. The browning is super light so it’s great for packing. The only problem I have with it is I wish I had got the take down model so it would pack easier. Thing is light super light but kicks like a mule. Always surprises those who try it for the first time.
That’s exactly why I didn’t want a super lite. I would expect they kick. In a perfect world, I’d really like to have a range rifle and a hunting rifle. When’s the next lotto drawing?
Awesome! Yeaaa people always come snooping around for free game meat when they hear you “caught one” lol you’ll have no issues finding a taker!
Not to be picky here or cause an argument but I don’t get a vegan that hunts? Do you mean vegetarian? Does hunting not violate the principle of respecting the animals’ right to be free from human predation & exploitation? I am just curious when I noticed the whole vegan thing. I have no issues with anyone that chooses to be Vegan, Vegetarian or a hunter. All cool with me, just curious as the Vegan Society says "to seek an end to the use of animals by man for food, commodities, work, hunting, vivisection, and by all other uses involving exploitation of animal life by man”.
I mean vegan. It hurts my stomach. I love to fish, hunt, etc. I can’t drink anymore either. At least I still got my weed.
So you are not really a practicing vegan but you use a vegan diet for heath reasons? That would make sense. Hunting and fishing go against the principals of veganism by definition. In the end I am just being picky bud and have no issues with any of the above mentioned things. To each their own works fine in this guys mind. Thank goodness we all have weed
From what my gf tells me (all about learning about nutrition etc) lots of ethical vegans are starting to flip sides and will eat meat that is ethically harvested and actually lean towards hunting because of that… then as mentioned above there’s dietary issue vegans… she’s pretty much a solid carnivore due to dietary issues lol
But getting back to guns. Who knows what these 2 rifles are? Canadians should, Americans might. Sadly they are at the bottom of Lake fuktroodo
Bonus points if you can tell me the caliber(s) and yes they are technically 2 different rifles
I think that depends on your definition of the word vegan. The way I use it, it is strictly a dietary term. It is not a philosophy for me. I don’t like slaughter houses and such practices, but sustainable hunting and fishing (like Grease said) is totally ok in my book.
And to not clog up this thread anymore with the specifics of vegan vs veganism diet. I go by the Webster version.
Vegan Definition & Meaning - Merriam-Webster
@Grease_Monkey 7.62 x 39?
Edit: yeah, I knew when I said that I was off. How about a Kalashnikov?
Correct caliber for the one on the left.
Definetly not an sks… my comparison between these and sks is the sks is like a cheap crack whore, these two are like a high price escort lol
I forget the name lol I would have to look it up. 7.62 and where would one find a lake with that name lol
Mike from Canmore knows lol
All good man. I don’t claim to get know much about it so I wanted to ask. The term as far as I know was coined by the Vegan Society in 1944 who use the criteria I mentioned above so in my mind there are vegans and than those who follow a vegan diet. Veganism is a moral thing for the most part. I got my info from the founders of it who made the term. Don’t mean to take the thread off topic. I don’t know much about the subject so just get my definition from Go Vegan | What is Veganism? | Understanding Veganism . Either way it’s all cool with me brother.
As for the riffles, those I can’t identify
Cz 858 (7.62x39) on the left. And vz58 (5.56 / .223) on the right.
I miss them lil ladies lol most of the parts are interchangeable between the 2. They’re the same but different
And then the cz75 hanging out in the middle lol
That is a terrible place for them. What happened there?
Yeah, nice rifles for sure. Sad.
Ak on left 762x39mm right is an ar could be any of many calibers but common is 5.56
Nah the gas block on right looking closer dont really look ar. Its almost ak style
is the one on right modified ? It def looks like 6 point telescopic stock which is usually ar.
Theyre both the “canadian ak” cz 858 and vz58. The one on the right had an ar buttstock
Czech rifles
Yeah i didnt read further just saw the pic n hopped on what i thought they were. So like a canadian ak and ar. Im not familiar with any cz’s really never had one.
Skip 10 mm probably wont stop a bear. More likely piss it off. Get the 556 ar (not polymer lowered the heavier round may break the rear ring ). Then buy a 450 bushmaster complete upper assembly w bcg in 10.5" run about $350-400 get the proper mags for the 450 and youll be able to swap out uppers in say 30 seconds without tools. change mags n that bear be down for the count. The standard ar lower is capable of like 6-8 different caliber uppers. Dont get a 556 ar pistol youll need a carbine buffer for larger rounds. Get the 556 in 14.5"+ itll have a carbine buffer on the lower already. Ok im back to hiding from this thread.
