I bet that has a bitching recoil!

Probably the basic semi auto action and not controlling recoil. If the shooter gives (limp wrists etc) the slide loses energy. It relies on that energy for cycling.

Are we winning?

My edc too, for years, finally got a steel recoil spring and a red dot

I’m not much of a pistolera but these CZs are very nice and have an excellent trigger.

CZ Shadow 2. Full size frame. Lots of heft keeps muzzle flip controlled. Minimized recoil and crisp trigger pushes this outside my zone of flinch induction. 1911 style beavertail ergonomics makes this a no-brainer. Nice and grippy when used with LOK grips. The safety is really low profile so it’s more of a egregious thumb swipe in that general area, though it still has a positive feel when switching to fire. Going safe is more cumbersome to me. That could maybe be swapped out.

Perhaps a bit hefty for carry concealed but … damn, this is growing on me. These are nice ‘I want to go and practice’ pistols … which hasn’t really been my thing in the past.

@Northern_Loki that CZ looks nice. Here’s a couple of mine. I have a bunch of different stuff for hunting but these are my range guns.

Nice. I’ve thought about getting a carbine at some point. Or, maybe build.

The rifles that I have are truly long gun with barrels to 26 inches. With optics they’re something in the 17-20 lbs range. Excellent for some things but not terribly practical in go-bag type scenarios or, for that matter, stomping in the woods.

Never tried a bullpup … that I can recall at least. How do you like that?

I absolutely love it. A little heavy for its size, but it changes from righty to lefty by swapping over a cover and changing the bolt. I need to get a riser because that scope sits a little low for me but it’s a nail driver when you get the feel for it.

I picked up an FN 509 the other year. Great pistol. Unfortunately I am a horrendous shot with a pistol. Great with a bow, ok with a rifle, a walking statistic with a pistol. Already told the wife in the event of a burglar, we have to keep the safe on my side of the bed so i can open it quickly and hand it to her

A friend just gave me this a little while ago, because I liked it and didn’t have a gun. It’s nice and easy to shoot. I’ve always known how to shoot, but wished I didn’t need a firearm. Haha

Normally I’d say the lower the better but I see it’s a bit different for how that platform is laid out.

Is that 9mm? I really like the colours

It is. Walther PDP Pro I believe is the correct name. I always preferred .40, but this thing was so easy to shoot. So, he finally convinced me 9mm was better than .40. Haha

Yeah that flat top makes for an awkward shot, just an inch should be plenty to make it more comfortable

Me too. But working on it.

My flinch and anticipation would become horrible after 4 or five rounds with the 45. I moved from 45 to 9 to reduce recoil impulse. A bit of practice on a 22 then the 9 reduced that problem greatly.

Then getting a pistol with a good trigger and some weight helped to eliminate those problems all together. I’ll move back to retry the 45 once I get some time in.

At least, that’s been my primary problem.

Is that how it’s done more proper:

My daily kit.

Edit: Forgot the part that gets used the most. Haha

In my opinion, the best home defense will always be a 12 gauge. Even if shot from the hip, good chance your hitting the target.

Easier to have a pistol on or right beside you at home at all times compared to a 12 gauge for me personally, but nothing beats a Benelli M4. Haha

Yeah, I live by myself and rarely have visitors…I have pistols, AR-15’s, shotguns, and handguns stashed all over my house…Just In Case!
