We call it FAB MC, short for “Fuji Apple Blueberry Muffin Cookie”
It’s Native Sun Genetics’ Fuji Apple Cookie x HSC’s Blueberry Muffin. This single plant that i grew, the finished aroma of the flowers was like “blueberry catpiss”, potency was great and stacked nicely with no perceived ceiling.
Blueberry Muffin Strain (HSC) - did very well all season (New England), and is ready to come down, but the weather had other plans…I’m probably going to take her down tomorrow, I want at least a day of sunshine to dry her out…Still has that great Artificial Sweet Blueberry Pie aroma to her…no issues with PM or the elements. two (2) thumbs up to HSC for these genetics (although, I’ve seen others have different phenotypes (less Blueberry), so maybe just lucky here).
It’s a strain I wouldn’t hesitate to run again. It survived some of the most cruel weather last year, and even having a touch of Septoria, fought thru like a champ to a very very good yield of tasty Blueberry buds.
your ILGM BB looks similar to my Alter Ego DJ Short Blueberry Pre-2013…
right now, it’s developing a spicy, berry, thai Aroma - was slower to flower, but has performed excellent so far this summer/fall - and that’s saying something - the weather has not co-operated with outdoor gardens…persistant RAIN all season long…hoping for a dry fall
The HSC Blueberry Muffin has improved over time…I think they keep selecting the best berry dominant genetics as they go, and surprisingly, there’s hasn’t been any of the negative IBL consequences (i.e. a positive trait improves, at the expense of a negative trait increasing).
I was hesitant at first, because I’ve seen some early HSC BBM look nothing like a Blueberry, but I decided to go for it. (get your seeds from a reputable source!) I germinated 3 regular beans - all 3 popped very fast, and were top performers from the get-go - extremely healthy & vigorous. Out of three (3), one was male, and two (2) female - and out of the two (2) females, one is Sativa dom (in structure & appearance), and one is Indica dom. Very lucky to get one of each; both are beautiful, and have performed like true winners.
Fast forward to present day - I’ve had plants end up in the compost pile from mold & rot; but these are thriving. I didn’t have a chance to chop last week (once again, due to weather); but will chop soon - I just want to give them a little sunshine after the beatings they took.
Final thought - Just go for it and have fun…hope for the best, expect the worse kind of thing. The line looks very stable now. I need to upload my pics to my computer - so I can post, but I’ve kept track of progress…I"m satisfied with the grow; now we just need to do a smoke report (hopefully soon).
still hitting the jars from 2018ish - last grow of these beans… Pleasant up long lasting euphoric smoke, long term cure still tastes fine… your right, here in southern new england, very wet season… found a small bit of mold on one popcorn bud today, it’s defiantly near it’s end… gunna let the sun hit it for another week or so in the greenhouse evaluating daily… looking forward to popping some Dutch Passion BB, pack bought in 1999 that were last reproduced in '03 sativa dominate next season from a member here…
I grew out Blueberry muffins this year .I spent a small fortune for some seed of the original Muffins and this shit was phenomenal 20 years of growing it may be my favorite .Looks and smell alone will floor you. I m curing a batch as I type. I kept 2 clones for the winter and bred one with my seedsman Purple reg male. I m expecting big things from this combo. I d love to get my hands on some old school Blueberry beans.
archive’s indica leaning blueberry cut is very good. I’m about to harvest one. I’ve grown it 2 outdoor seasons. I have some hybrids I made with it to try out. That’s the strongest blueberry smell I’ve found. Often blueberry just smells floral, or candy like. This smells like really good fresh blueberries.
Im in N.E to grew a couple BBM with great success ,my other strain Blue Dream had issues with the weather what a rainy miserable season.Bud rot was a bitch. I m real impressed with the BBM though ,mine smelled so good but once the weather got cooler her purple colors popped, just a gorgeous plant .
