Has anyone here defeated powdery mildew?

Sulfur is your best friend. Raw molasses is good for all kinds of things. It also helps keep the bugs away. I believe in molasses. Sulfur is your best friend. I’ll add a little bit to the water and use it as a foliage spray. When it dries up it’ll kill those soft bugs. I like @JoeCrowe I think he does a good job. He tries to help others when nobody does anything whatsoever.

Don’t spray sulphur in bud or you might as well toss the plants . You’ll never get rid of the taste ,in veg no problem just dont once there budding.

No, you cant spray any oils or minerals on buds.
The only thing you could spray on buds are probiotics (lacto bascilus, em1, kombucha)

Thanks @Wuachuma for that info.

We’ve basically chopped all of the PWM plants down. Clean buds are drying/curing. And tossed any flower/sugar leaf that was even remotely showing PWM in the freezer, and it will go to the bubble runs.

Again that is the plan unless people would advise going through QWISO for this stuff over bubble.

Um, never ever use ISO alcohol
It contains a benzene ring that you cant purge out. Causes kidney and liver failure.

PM me the details on this. I thought Iso was safe if heated off.

Iso is propylene and water.
There’s no way to purify it to make it safe for consumption.
Its a CH bond, not a clean OH bond.

There have been countless people killed by “medicine” made by people who dont understand chemistry.

Use everclear, vodka, any food-grade alcohol.
Whatever you use, make sure its food-grade, not topical.

Dr Zymes seems to keep it at bay. :man_shrugging: I haven’t been regular with it but when I get nervous in midflower or see bugs then, it def. is the only thing I’ve used in flower that works & won’t give me some kind of new tumors. The potassium sorbate listed on the bottle bothers me a tiny bit, but only because I’m smoking 4g a day.

I think the answer to the OP is definitely “NO” since m’fers still be treating it, therefor it exists, still.

i finally got rid of mine and it hasnt come back for over a year. i fogged my basement with stuff called microban using an ultrasonic fogger and added merv13 air filters to my air intakes (too small for pm spores to get through). so far so good!

I pushed gypsum real hard this year.
No PM

Plants were left out in cold rain for a few weeks before being put in a sealed room. High humidity in there.
I got some bud rot, but no PM.

I didnt have to spray any harmful sulfur - just gypsum in the soil

I’ve washed my plants in flower with light soap solution and rinsed 10 minutes later. Seems to be no harm, ?

Just curious, what did you find harmful about the sulfur treatment, or was that just about sulfur in general?

interesting, ive never heard of this. did you use an actual supplement, or break up drywall? i know people use crushed gypsum in mushroom growing medium for some reason

sulfur trashed my plants after a couple weeks of spraying. new growth started coming in crinkly and deformed. i didnt think of the sulfur until i looked it up and found others who had the same problem. it didnt even touch my pm problem either

there’s a treatent used to treat fungal problems on golf courses. It works very very well on PM. I do not recommend using this on any plants going into flower. I have used this on mother plants, tossing her clones in the fire pit and growing out the mother in veg, then taking a clone. tossing the mother, then taking clones from the clone, wash rinse repeat until a couple generations of clones are taken. Then I will take clones to flower out. Pm is systemic. And this stuff does kill it within the plant.

Zerotol 2.0
Growers Ally makes good stuff too.
Ones h2o2 based, Zerotol, and Growers Ally is citrus based I believe.

Do you remember where you found that?

Sulfur sprays applied exactly like Joe prescribes, worked perfectly for me. Are you the guy who sprayed to soon after using an oil? I think I read your thread about it and I asked for some corroboration, but I don’t think you gave any.

Seems to be a common misconception, but no, it’s not.
