Good morning everyone, getting old so hit the hay pretty early these days lol…
I have been reading through some of these posts about all the work you guys are doing with the landraces, Comlumbian, Jamaican etc…man you guys are WAY ahead of me. I have been growing for around 50 years, but just never did any breeding at all, so a lot of what you write just flies over the cookoo’s nest (mine) lol. I sincerely wish I had had more interest in breeding years back as this morning I was reading about some of the work you guys are doing on the Sativa landraces. In the very early 70’s I started going to Negril Jamaica, the first ever day there I met and became friends with a Rasta named Dixon. Around year 3 going down he took me up to the mountains to the fields. My favorite was the Lambs Bread he grew, make you giggle for hours. Wish I had had the foresight to get some seeds from him. He was in his early 40’s when I met him, and I was just 20, now I’m 74 so he would be in his late 90’s. if he is still kicking. I journeyed there for almost 20 years every year for vacation. It changed drastically, and in the mid 90’s it had grown into a concrete city from one hotel on a 7 mile beach. Anyway as they say hindsignt is always perfect lol. I’m pretty good at growing, but the most advanced I have gotten is to clone a couple of strains that I liked. But I get tired of the same thing, and as they were just purchased seed I let them die out and didn’t clone them again. Ever searching for the holy grail.
Hope everyone is having a stellar weekend. Sun came out and getting close to 70 today, time to get on the Trike and get a one of the last rides in today.
