Absolutely. With the cover off that vent you will have a much harder time reaching negative pressure but when you do your air exchange will go way up.

No problem bud and sorry for your loss. It’s a touch pill to swallow after all the hard work and most can relate to that issue. I am sure you will dial it in bud.

I feel lucky and need to knock on wood, that I haven’t had to deal with this yet. But then again, I never had “a guy” lol and growing for myself. But this did tell me, not to count on just one plant at a time to maintain the stash lol.

Also, I wouldn’t do this either lol. I wouldn’t trust just water to make it all better.

I feel horrible for you, but glad to see the post and pictures. I was really curious about mold/ bud rot and what it might look like, aside from just a mushy bud outside. I wondered how bad it is though, because if we go buy a box of blackberries and one has mold but the rest are perfect, we do just that, wash off the good ones and eat them anyway. Eat though, not smoke :dash:

Need a dehu for night time. When the lights go out the plants start sweating. If you have mold or rot one good high rh night can kill a crop

I keep orchids in my tent, they love the light and feed off humidity with the air roots I believe. Not that it helps NOW, but you can gift the lady some lovely orchids then steal them for the grow tent

Yeah I got the humidifier once I discovered that our age was dropping hard when the lights were off and I’ll take a word for that! because I had at least two or three high nights that ruined me for sure

Well 60% maybe little higher

My vents I put towards the wall, open them… Also, you can get black dryer vent hose, 4" or 6" hose, and bring it out one of the access holes, form an “S” with it and light wont travel past the corners. I have dryer vent hose propping open the bottom holes anyway…

Input must get close to output to better airflow, and with the other vent hoses in place, you have negative pressure pulling fresh air in, but not the walls…

I opened all the vents not facing any direct light (3 of 4) we shall see if it makes a difference soon enough!

A simple piece of cardboard leaning against the tent over an open vent will block the light. Simple and effective.

Awesome man, just make sure you check it all out. Keep an eye on it and don’t try to dry it too fast. Mold spores can be a problem but if keep it under 60 RH and look at the buds daily. It’s gonna be just fine tup

The PCR test expert said that once you can see the grey mold it’s already been growing on your plant for over 40 days. Microscopically, the plant is probably completely infested. I really try to keep things clean, and haven’t seen any mold for 4 years.

That’s just gonna blow around more wet air.
One member mentioned the dehu at lights out, good plan. Also think about upgrading your ventilation.
Good luck. Don’t smoke the yuck!

Anyone with mold problems needs to check out Green Cure organic potassium bicarbonate. Even just to be preventative, use 1/2 or 1/4 rate to be preventative before the wettest part of the season comes or even make it the final step of your outdoor IPM.

Bud mold is botrytis, check the B’s in the diseases controlled. Also does PM and others of our main fungi problems
