Herbies Hothouse V2

OG Kush started just short of the bar.

One branch tries to dominate but think we are done stretching.

Runtz tasty thing, was going to take a cut to save but could not find any leaves that were not spotted with septoria. Though it does seem to be holding up well.

OG Kush

Had to cut out some bud rot. It seems to be resistant to the septoria though

Moved the BKxST4 to a cabinet and put them on a timer to sex them. All the way to the right at the topp, topped itself.

This one threw a mutant leaf.

Two of 9 have so far id’d as early males and so have been discarded. Had not even considered making seeds with these. There have been several that were at the least atypical and at least one that is plain strange. These remain and are at 14/10 for some more encouragement to gender reveal.

The strange one. Lower right leaf

Bubba Kush x Sweet Tooth #4 From 11 we have 3 females to go forward with.

This first one had alternating branches at node 4 and fan leaves came with ones, 3, 4, 6/7, 7/8 on the other.

#2 has wider leaves and a very purple stem

#3 all freshly up potted. Some crinkle in the latter two.

I think #2 looks a little more like bubba than the others  Tho the fat ass stem on that first one is bubba-ish too but the leaves make me think closer to sweet tooth. That third one definitely reminds me of sweet tooth. Stem rubs?

#2 seems to have something akin to a fruity cocoa perhaps, deep and complex. #1 is some of the same fruitiness with some floral. I had been picking up on #2 all along as far as predominant smells. #3 smells something like both of the others.

Good variability should up my chance of finding something special :crossed_fingers:

Never ceases to amaze how varied the cannabis plant is to environmental conditions.

I started all 11 as usual. Got 4 up quickly, but then nothing for a few days. When I put to soak I noted one of them had a reddish tint. These were a heat sealed pack so I thought nothing of it. But it seemed to jog a memory of prior results

So I dropped 4 of the Black Dak fems and the next day another of the CQxBL3’s came up. Still watering but it seems 6 of those and all of the fems are up.

I have a heat mat now and used it germinating these seeds.

I had been running in Coco Loco. The BKxST4 and the newer plants going forward are in Royal Gold Tupur as long as I can manage to source it. I had great results with it before and am glad to be back using it.

I had been running Megacrop v3 until the end of stretch last round and then finishing with Maxibloom and raising the pH with ArmorSi. HolyAngel and some other readings recommended dropping the ArmorSi since the extra silica can cause harshness. After doing a bit of reading it looks as though if I want to continue that way then baking soda would be a much better choice for raising pH.

The results of using the nutrient combo above have been very good. Hopeful the media change will help as well.

As for the OG Kush, I added plain filtered water to the remaining feed and fed that to the plants last evening. At the end I always let them dry out on the ‘thrones’ a day or two and as close as they are, they have dropped off their uptake noticably. I usually take this thing around 60 days. They will likely get straight water tonight as the last watering and come down the weekend.

Of the 6 seedlings, the late ones have not fared well and have been separated due to just being slow. I am sure that storage was an issue in this case since they have been out of cold storage more than once as I debated starting them in the past. They have not been continuously stored at low temp. That said they are likely to be culled for being so slow.

The other 4 have already stretched fallen over and stood up again. I need to get some air circulation to help the stems, although at the moment I am working on solving humidity issues

These 4 have about caught the previous plants.

I need to flip therm but they really need more veg time and I need to take a few branches.

Up potted the CQxBL3 they have a wonderful smell to them already. Very sweet and strong for such little plants

…well except for the little ones. Number of females in the first four are gonna wind up determining how much longer they have to live.

The bubba cross has a very unique leaf pattern. Does that look like the male at all?

Those were from @Howard.Crane I have no idea. I do think s1’s as parents tend to throw some strange ones. From what I read, his wife loved this cross. The smells have a dense, rich profile.

Black Dak fems are half the height of the Cherry Queen x Black Lebanese

The 2 runts still live for the moment.

Of the remaining 3 CQxBL3’s We have 2 males and a female. All have identical smells afaict and are pleasant and sweet. The leaves are lacy and light with a frilly appearance. The double serrations add to that.

One male looks much like the female but is a little shorter. The other male has started alternating nodes already. This might be a good combo to seed and look through the f2s if I decide to flower the males and make seed. Not sure how many of these exist but assuming there are still some out there? @lefthandseeds

Female is in the middle of both pictures and just a tad taller than the boys. Seems quite vigorous, with decent node spacing and branching.

I topped the Cherry Queen x Black Leb 3 a week ago. Took an apex clone and a couple lowers to root. She has 6 good tops at this point Not sure I am ready for her but she looks ready. Smells are taking on a dank undertone. I think she will at least double in stretch.

The two laggards are coming along slowly.
