Herbies Hothouse V2

Cherry Queen x Black Leb 3

Flipped the big one last week.

the 2 males

Turns out the 2 laggards are girls, exerting the female prerogative?

Rooted cuts of the big girl

Black Dak

Humming along nicely

Bubba Kush x Sweet Tooth 4
Strong one, drinking about half a gallon a day. I don’t really like how leafy these are. In a damp environment they could be rather difficult.

Maybe it was reused soil? this one never took off and looks to be dying. Doesn’t drink much

The last is kind of in between the two above.

SSDD f2 #1 Looking good!

Black Dak fems x4 Just up potted to 3 gallons.

SSDD f2 #1 by HA

The Bubba x Sweet tooth are getting close. Should be ready by the time we get some root development on the Black Dak.

Hope to catch some CQxBL3 pollen and store it but don’t want too many seeds. Probably take cuttings of the males. I love the abundance of double serrations they show among some other characteristics. Who knows may even try to reveg them. Never tried it on a male.

The CQxBL3 is getting danker on the stem rub. Still pleasant undertones but getting more complex.

I am unsure about what is next. The OG thing is complicated all of a sudden. Jackattack still pursues it I don’t know that I will, but I still want to grow out the OG’er dwarfs

I want to get to several others including the Orange Goji f2’s from @Howard.Crane, the Deathstar repro from GrowHard, Saltwater Kush by BossHoss and some of the seeds I have made. There are a lot of others. I think I just need a bigger tent mabbe.

Also why I don’t sign up much for seeds anymore. I am still looking for a pack of the Blue Moonrocks DougDawson made. I missed that one. More than willing to grow them out seeded and split the ones made. I am a not insignificant health risk but should be okay for at least a couple more years after the last stent. Will trade or consider barter as well. And before I get pointed to the trade thread. Been there, done that.

Cherry Queen x Black Leb 3 is down to one male now. I let them get pretty dry and one of the males started throwing girly parts and is gone.

@catapult well, the Mendo is very nice smoke. Unfortunately the novice in me decided to overpack the soil at the bottom and the poor thing never got decent roots. I learn something every day. Certainly a bit of triage is good in the case of good or bad results and will let you know if you are doing things right.

I have to believe the MM cross would be excellent. And yield well so I will get to them later.

CQxBL3 is stacking,

Leaf pattern, the male shows the same.

Speaking of males.

I dropped a few Og’er’s 3 days back.

these are already above ground.

These BKxST4 are nuts. They look like something Ringo would have found from Caveman

I have to agree, she consistently stays up there on my top three list. I’ve yet to pop any of the MM cross, but thnx for the reminder. Gonna add them to the mix next month. I have a few of the 88G13hp going from you. Heavily neglected, under-fed, and overgrown, still, they’ve held solid. I’ll be trying to make some space in the flower tent for the couple that appear to be girls in the next round.

The CQ x BL sound real interesting, showing some nice teeth! How much stretch on her?

Edit:

Did you get a hold of these yet? I’m pretty sure I have a pack in the fridge. I could send em to you for reproducing

Stretch was just about 2x. She is getting more dank, the other two are almost ready for me to top, clone, shape and flower.

Negative. Definitely would sprout them soonest and split some seed as well as a smoke report.

There was one weird girl that stretched unexpectedly. None of the others did. Predominately 2 phenos.

Updated the bios a couple days back. Had turned off the boot logo. If you don’t know or keep up with computer vulnerabilities and you own a pc, you should.

CERT Vulnerability Notes Database

Image files being overwritten was the problem. Bios updates are out by manufacturers for both boards I had used to build.

All the girls are doing well. The BKxST4 is all down. The smoke has been smooth and lacked any harshness to speak of. It is potent enough but definitely more indica than the last few strains.

This is ‘Wild Thing’ I have 2 clones. Will see what it smokes like but it could be this works best as a fresh bubble hash plant. She has so many leaves and such a large cluster of buds it could get no air at all next to the stem and could easily be a bud rot problem.

I removed the leaves a couple days into the dry and finished drying as pictured.

OG’ers are up.

Cherry Queen x Black Leb

These were the two runts

The SSDD cut from @HolyAngel is sulking constantly. The only soil I had was used when that clone got here and the snow had me locked in. It doesn’t portend good things me thinks. I thought I had chosen well but perhaps not. I suspect it has root issues. ;-(

Those BLxCQ are starting up frost up pretty nicely. :ok_hand:

They look pretty darn happy too! I can’t wait to see what the next few weeks brings. I don’t know whether to expect a color change.

They are and smelling nice to boot! I think the cross is very vigorous, as this one has been. The runts are coming out of their funk and look to be pretty strong as well. Not what this one is though.

oh yeah! 2 more weeks!

The Black Dak fems have about finished stretching. One went crazy and stretched way up, one split the top and went 3 ways (note-pepper stem rub)

BKxST4 on the right debating whether it stays a while… and in the little dome, some Black Dak fem cuts

OG’ers

Guess we are about done now…soon the sampling comes.

Just to set the geneology for these they are

OG-ers @GPaw (over here for now)

Culled a few slower growers back a week ago. I am favoring fat leaves and short node spacing, but I like those long middle fingers.

Well those black lebanon cherry queens certainly have the look. Hopefully they smoke as well.

@Herbie
Hiya herb’,
Nice lil production line you got over here👍

I see you have screw-in CFL lights in some of your shelves.
I like their diffused light for the younger plants but ive recently started changing out bulbs to LED as they die. But i gotta keep an eye on how close the plants get to prevent burning.

I gotta ask, do you have a stockpile of them, or do you have a source for more? Lol

Phased out bulbs being reused, I found out how good CFL or actually flourescent lighting is as a choice when rooting cuts.

I have a few t8 shop lights and bulbs for backup for the same reason.
They just spread the light everywhere instead of just down.

Imma have to see if i can find a bulk lot of 6500k daylight 23w on flea-bay haha.

Planning a blue moon for the new moon. @catapult

The OG’ers went thru 3 days of 12/12 They got too dry when the temp dropped. Hopeful they will recover nicely and be mostly girls :crossed_fingers:

Some Black Dak colas

The next one got too close to the light at stretch and I cut about 3 inches off the top of it weeks ago

The CQxBL is curing up and almost ready for some taste testing. Going to gather some input data soon.

:ok_hand: nice colas. That’s a familiar sight! If you get your nose on them every couple days, at some point you might catch a strong whiff of black pepper.

There was one of the 4 that split off and went to 3 branches. One that stretched to infinity and beyond and got trimmed because of it.

The one that split tops had a couple days in veg that smelled of pepper for a few days. I cloned that one. I have 4 more seeds and am trying to learn a bit about what to look for.

Cherry Queen x Black Leb #3 is mostly a memory at this point. Up in smoke as it were. And an enjoyable smoke it was. Some floral notes are more prevalent in the smoke than in the grind. In the jar it smelled more of cherry skittles than the heavy cough drop of the sister strain I tasted years ago (BDxCQ)

The high was euphoric and without clouding the mind. Potency was good and yield was along the lines of the Black Leb. It yields better on the grind than expected but the buds were a little airy. That would also lend itself to dropping the trichomes and so should be good hash.

Having only the one girl to glean from was not ideal but would definitely run them again. In the end had to eliminate clones and change some habits due to ‘issues’

Everything is/has been sterilized if emptied and using new media and new containers.

I have for the most part run my plants in individual saucers. But after the seeds were soaked together. I did however change the way I take leaves. I no longer pinch them between fingernails to remove a dead/dying leaf.

Blue Moonrock(et)s were soaked and most popped. 7 of the 10 are peeking up and have cots and first 2 true leaves atm.

The Black Dak fems are getting close and when they are done that tent will get a thorough cleaning/sterilization.
