High Maintenance

We got 2 new cats (have one indoor already and used to have 2 but the lady passed of old age, brought her to the vet when she gave the signs it was time and said goodbye with the whole family while the vet took away her misery) outdoors, 2 rather young cats that completely lacked socialisation at the young age where that is still possible, they are from the same litter and stick together through everything, lacked all care before the shelter, one was close to death when the cat shelter took them in and they pulled him through and now his brother is the brave one while he shelters behind him, or while virtually anything scares him away and then they will go look for each other again on sounds. Anyway the day before yesterday was their first half day out, they seemed to do well, then yesterday evening it starts thundering from above, and today I got to walk half a mile through our relatively new neighborhood yelling here kitty kitty and rambling with cat food like a crazy cat lady. Come back to the house after half a mile of kitty rambling and what do you know, the one my wife hadn’t seen back just finished eating the cat food and is busy finding a way to escape my view.

If I’m high maintenance, cats are for sure.

But if cats are high maintenance, man I don’t want a dog!

I’m not really anti-cat. We have lost a number of them to the highway. I was messing with you about the cat. No cat no kitty litter.
