Try this recipe…I used it…cause it’s straight forward…and I have lemons in my garden.
probably not restruants standard …but it works for me …and u can change the corvina (sea bass) for prawns or Pulpo if you want. or add some things of your own taste… healthy and good is Cerviche…important…fresh ingredients.
Late to the party but i generally do a daily cup of Vietnamese Coffee using a Phin (with the condensed milk of course) or I use a Clever Dripper for a nice black cup.
throwing this out there cuz i only saw 1 V-Coffee buddy and nobody mentioned the Clever Dripper which i was kinda surprised about… cheap and so easy and yum.
Never too late to a party!!! We never stop here in the OGverse.
I haven’t tried that method yet! Im still new to this coffee world, there is so much!! I’m glad I made this topic! I’m being exposed to things I wasn’t aware before.
I’m definitely new to coffee. I used to just get ice coffees from mcdonalds until i realized i could just make my own (hot coffee, never tried to make ice coffee). I just have a basic ‘mr coffee’ machine. I tried a bunch of coffees, most i didn’t like at all. Lately i’ve settled for coffee i buy on amazon. Caribou coffee, medium roast. I have trouble settling for the right amount of french vanilla creamer and sugar but i’m figuring it out. i’m sure i’ll find better coffee but for now I’m happy with what i have.
I’ve coffeed for longer than I can remember, had everything from delectable to warm water and instant coffee in county jail.
Now I fresh grind organic beans every time in unbleached natural coffee filters with some coffee mate french vanilla creamer (blame my mom, it’s all she drank) to level out the fierce kick fresh unoxidized coffee has, just your basic ass black and decker though it did say it let the water fall in a fancy ring innovation they had
You might try cold brew if you’re an iced coffee fan. Just leave ground beans and cold water in a container overnight at room temp or in the fridge. Filter and add to ice and cut with cold water or milk/cream.
A colleague of mine used to run a coffeeshop. She has a ton of experience with all the high end gear but she chooses a Technivorm as her preferred daily driver.
lol…I can see what you mean, but it really is very simple. There’s 2 settings: ON & OFF
Oh, I love to hear that! Thanks for sharing!
I did a ton of research before I bought it OVER 8 YEARS AGO! Sh!t, I didn’t realize it was that long ago until I pulled up the email confirmation as I was writing this. The photo of the machine I posted is literally my exact machine. They got it right and never needed to change anything.
I have a gaggia classic that I upgraded the steam wand to a rancilio silva wand, and currently a baratza encore. It is a simple manual machine, but once I upgraded the VST precision basket it was super fun to really dial it in and pull some wicked shots.
Used Melitta and other drip cups for years, had a Buonavita (Technivorm knockoff) that was a trooper for a decade until the pitcher shattered, that’s in the basement until I get a new one that fits. Through everything: Aeropress with a an Able stainless filter disc. Nowadays I grind fresh with a Baratza Encore my partner and I got, since we rotate through the week with my Aeropress, she does V60 pourover, and we drink French press on the weekends together. I also enjoy a good instant coffee sometimes, especially high quality microground instant like Starbucks. If I’m in a coffee shop: cold brew or a ristretto.
Bodum Burr Grinder + bodavida Goose Neck hot water pitcher with thermometer + Chemex with unbleached chemex filters. I like kona peaberry best but it’s too expensive for me to buy all the time. Otherwise, I like a good mexican or south american medium light roast. Anything with the hazelnut/chocolate kind of flavors. I usually brew with 205 degree water and drink with a little half n half.
I have a behmor coffee roaster that I roast Sweet Maria’s green coffee in and hand grind it to brew in my moka pot. I would be all about espresso, but haven’t had the cash to drop on a fancy grinder and machine. Could easily spend as much on coffee as I do on this hobby, …and I do spend a fair amount on weed and weed stuff.
