Good morning @DougDawson! Thereās no reasons for you to apologize really. I know youāre a good guy, and youāre right these are difficult (very) matters to discuss. Iāve put our interaction here under the account of misunderstanding. You did not create tension, in fact I rather thought you seem to have a bad day, like we all do at times. Not that cool DD Iām used to. The one you prove once again to be with that post. 
English not being my first language, Iām often fuzzy, and I see how my comment may have been offending.
Iām the one who should apologize honestly. After sitting a bit on what happened, I think I was trying to make some broader statements addressed to the community in fact, after being heated by some stuffs I read. I felt the discussion was slipping sometimes to some places I dislike. But as I quoted you, you were put into the spotlights, which was not fair. So I believe you were right to stand up. And you did with your usual diplomacy I think. I would probably wonāt have been so much in your position.
Most of the times I try to ponder my comments, but I sometimes fail when things heat up. Sorry Iāve put you in this situation. Hope life is good for you, and your sickness has gone!
@SHSC-1 I still donāt think this discussion belongs here. But please do not rewrite history. I did reach out to you asking politely if you would consider removing the part of your post that offended me. There was just a tiny part of it that wasnāt relevant and could be removed, while keeping the rest of it, which made sense in the discussion.
You ignored me, so I had to flag the entire post. Only then you eventually reach out to tell me something in the vein of āfuck off, donāt message me anymoreā. The post was hidden so I moved on. Recently I stumbled on it and noticed it was visible again. It pissed me off and I overreacted. Though I did not say you were racist, rather that what you said was. Too political and off topic for OG anyway.
So please donāt distort the facts. I was ready to discuss it with you to sort that out privately, with respect. I tried to keep an open mind, but you didnāt let me any choices. Iām sad it had to go that road. I do not expect apologies or anything, and I wonāt either. We may not ought to be friends, thatās no big deal. Though if you wouldnāt mind keeping this narratives out of the way, Iām sure it would help OG to be more inclusive.
@GYOweed I donāt understand what you try to say, like most of the time. Youāre using a lot of slang and sentences forms that are not easy to get for a non-native english speaker like me. What are āflunkiesā, who are they, whatās āewwā?

It shouldnāt even have to be a thing. If something offends you move on or block the user. We are all adults and should act like it. Growing up we used to say āSticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.ā That is something the entire world would be better off doing. All the complaining, whining, and bitching makes me laugh over the smallest things. These things donāt even affect your life they are just words on the internet from someone you donāt knowā¦ not directed at anyone just how i feel about it. I think it also gives some people a feeling of entitlement.
Like they can have power over something they donāt like because their fragile feelings get hurt. Just my. 02 never flagged anyone never will.

Nothing wrong with being kind and taking others into consideration. It isnāt weak, it is actual strength. Everyoneās in their own place in their own path in this world where we are intersecting. Noone goes about life alone. None got here on their ownā¦. Regardless of what they say.

Blocking a small confederacy of unfit cyberstalkers that never even used my products in a sponsored page saves mods time and energy actually. Esp when they flag each one of my posts for 0 just cause lol. Frankly nothing better then cleaning up the spread of harmful non verifiable misinformation.
Conflating that with controlling a narrative is by no meane a shop owners failure. But an attachment the perceiver should abandon

Words are not an abstract things, they have very concrete outcomes in real life, sometimes deadly. They do impact people reading them. Maybe thatās why neo-nazi speech isnāt tolerated usually, donāt you think?

I tend to agree with the ālight is the best sanitizerā approach but itās probably easier to keep the site free of objectionable topics by keeping OG out of search engine results for those objectionable topics. If thereās a way to keep the flagged/hidden material out of search engine results then Iām all for keeping the material available to we know whoās in the community. Otherwise, I have trouble seeing the benefit of Overgrow showing up in āNazi flagā search results.
Pretty sure we all find the nazi flag objectionable. Such a thing should be flagged no question.
Iād prefer to see people use the ignore button than flagging but I suppose Iām in the minority.

Tried thatā¦ it was met with a barrage of even more off topic posts to the point where the flagging began.
You didnt give a damn that others would like less OT in threads, only when your posts get flagged and you melted down.
Somebody said earlier. The fuck your feelers gang sure had issue when it came to theirs.
Then the spinoff thread became about flagging, and not the disrespect that brought it all on.

Thatās what I think as wellā¦ I just donāt know how it works with search engines. I donāt see the upside to overgrow showing up in search engines for topics we find objectionable. It may be nothingā¦ like how many people actually make an account and start posting offensive stuff on a weed growing site when they were searching for a Nazi flag.

Search engines I donāt know but if someone is posting such things I want to be able to label them appropriately.

I have seen first hand how these things get out of control. I was in Highschool at the time. A splinter group of adults started grooming Highschool/college kids. This did not take long to explode into a very dangerous situation. The FBI was brought into investigate and lots of peopleās lifeās were changed long before they were old enough to know what a long lasting effect it would have on their lives. This all happened very quickly and still has long lasting effects for many. Understand words have effects even if they donāt affect you dose not mean they did not have negative effects. At the time many thought the words ment nothing. Some took the words seriously and the outcome was life altering . These are public threads so your words travel far and could easily be misinterpreted. If this is a place you want to have these types of discussions Let me know Iāll get his cell number and forward it to you, you guys can chat. Until then, Iāll flag a Post that reference anything of the like.
