I’ve seen a couple racists on here but it is really rare and i’ve been here a long time. That stuff is addressed quickly. It is definitely not supported.

I would have to disagree with that. Sponsors already have the ability to moderate and remove posts from their sponsor threads. Giving them the abilty to post things in their threads, that would not be allowed anywhere else by any other member, and remove anyones ability to flag said content just feels like too much special power to give sponsors IMO.

There are many peoples from all over the world here.

an yet we all bleed RED were one race the HUMAN RACE

and if the post is flagged and hidden, how are the rest of us who don’t get to see the offensive post to know that person is a “racist”.
I want to know the true colors of the people I interact with and that comes out in thier posts more often than not.
In the end , it’s up for the site owner and the moderating team to come up with a system that works for them… by the way this thread is going , I doubt any changes will be made based on the comments here.

100% true, I wish they were still here, I have screenshots somewhere though, but I certainly wouldn’t post them here.

I get it perfectly… we are all racists in your eyes now because we didnt break our devices trying to immediately flag something…

Yeah bro you were here at my house watching me laugh and not care right? Maybe i went to the bathroom… maybe i got a phone call… but no… im a fucking racist now because i didnt hurry and flag a nazi flag… this is an issue among people who think the way you do… and it makes you racist yourself and you dont even realize it…

I agree and that’s why I liked the way it was pre update where you could choose to see the flagged post.

I feel it was a great feature (intended or not) that allowed those of us who wished to see the purportedly offensive post view it and make our own mind on the content, while those who did not could skip over it.

I suppose it was kind of like the spoiler feature and I think it worked pretty well all up.

I guess as an example… if I was talking about hunting in my sponsor thread… as I do… and someone asked me a question that I could only answer by also including commentary on the political state of things … members should not be able to flag that… and they have.
Our lives are not just about Cannabis and members here include all kinds of subjects from thier daily lives that are not Cannabis related. A minority of us are hunting and firearms enthusiasts and constantly under attack by certain political parties. Occasionally these things are commented on and no one should be bothered by that enough to need to flag a post in a topic they are not even commenting on. They are just acting as thread police in threads they have no intention of participating in.
and this whole “post delay” thing is really getting on my nerves… what is the justification for that?
but anyways… no need for me to continue. I’ve expressed my thoughts and don’t expect or demand that anyone agrees with them.

I do see what you are saying. My point is that it should not just be a thing for sponsors as it creates a disconnect between the ability of sponsors vs that of every other member. I feel sponsors are already given an extraordinary amount of power by being able to delete anyones posts in their threads for any reason they see fit. This is something only mods and sponsors can do. For the flagging system, I just feel it should be equal to all or it doesnt work. Everybody or nobody so to speak.

Anything can be politicized. That doesn’t make it political.

I’d be fine if I could not edit/remove posts in my sponsor thread but the flagging thing bugs me. So easy for a sponsor to control the narrative and delete negative feedback like at least one sponsor here does as a modus operandi. Same guy has been accused of being a scammer here in Canuckistan for well over a decade. That ability for sponsors to remove stuff is one I don’t care to use. If someone crosses a line in my sponsor thread , I would do the same as anyone else and report it to a moderator.
For the record, I’ve never exercised either function as a sponsor here. I don’t think I have flagged anyone else’s content either. I don’t feel it’s my place to do so.
