Hush's hidey hole

This one is the healthiest-looking one, and has been along. Never got sunburn from the LEDs, never showed any real deficiencies or anything:

This one is the late-flowering one that showed her sex last. She also is the one that closest resembles the original F1s from which she came:

Day 13 in the 2x2:

There’s still not much to report on the 3x3. The four Bubba Hash seedlings are chugging along slowly. I’ll take pics when they speed up, but for now they’re still small. I’ve been running that tent on 50% lighting to get them acclimated to HPS at such a young stage, and so it’s been a slow start, but on purpose. I’ve increased to 75% as of tonight.

That male decided to stretch up and tower over the girls.

The male KxNL F2. Looks like I picked a good one! Aesthetically, anyway.

Yep. Right around the time you were making that comment I was in the grow room shaking the male and releasing clouds of plant sperm all over them all. It was a wild and crazy time!

yep. 1000’s of seeds! Who are the parents again? They look ready for business. Nice job.

Thank you. This is the creation of KxNL F3s, with one selected male and four selected females. I want lots of seeds so that, if there are any winners,I can offer up seeds to the community.

Meanwhile in the 2x2 tent…

All four females got a good pollination. And I mean good. I have clones of them all so the male has been disposed of now. This of course freed up space in the tent, which caused the females’ branches to suddenly droop, and without a plan in place I just wrapped them up in twine. It’s lazy but it’ll work. I think. I just want seeds. Anyway, here’s some pics of the top buds for my visual record…

Female #1. This is the one with the leaf mutation thing. It’s always been a good looking and healthy plant, and now her bud structure is proving to keep that trend going. This one is the one with the most trichome production at the moment:

This is female #4, which has been a healthy, bushy plant with almost all bottom branches having reached the same height as the main top. The buds are more fuzzy looking compared to the other three, with shorter and fatter pistils:

This is female #2. This one was the late flowering one, and it has the old school Kush look to it, with the branches close to the main stalk, kind of like the old Hindu Kush, and I’ve seen some White Widow that looks like this too. Anyway, it’s definitely showing some way-back genetics in this pheno:

Last but not least, female #3. This one unfortunately shot up so much that it hit the light, which means it’s gonna get all sunburnt and stuff. But honestly, it’s possibly my favorite of the bunch, because I recognize this pheno, and it’s a good one… It’s purple, like almost black, when it gets cold nights. I can see the pigmentation through the green, deep down. I just recognize it is what I’m saying. This one’s a stretch indica, big time (as you can see here). The buds end up being golf ball nugs, and very earthy kush smelling. I’m sure it’ll still give me good, seeded smoke. I’m not worried. It just stretched hardcore because I vegged them so long and they got no training and I didn’t really think it all through, no big deal:

I’ll post more pics of the individual plants soon, and under natural lighting. Maybe tomorrow. My back just hurts today.

I’d love to get a few of those. It seems like it would be great to breed with, or just damn good smoke, and/or both. You should have massive seed production. Biggest thing is just letting the plant go until the seeds are good and mature.

With genetics like that I would expect that will happen easy and on time. Some plants seem to put the big mature ones out easily and others seem to never want to fully mature.

The plants all look nice. You should have quite the variety with all of the different phenos. Man, I was going to ask about or say something else, but it slipped me… stoners…

Hey, are you in the NE or SE of the state? I remember you mentioning east. I’ve been out to Rocky Ford/La Junta once but that’s it since the old days when I went through the middle and NE part when traveling and living out here.

I have my chair pulled up to see these. I don’t have any NL cross. It’s in about everything, but I don’t have a close relative. I’ll have something to trade. Best vibes on the pregnancy!

Thanks dude, appreciated. Yes, just reach out to me after harvest and let me know you want some seeds, no worries. In response to the geography question… I’m in the SE part of the state. La Junta is to the northwest of me, and that’s a hell of a town. I really like passing through there. Some really good museums in that town. I’d rather not get too specific about the small town where I live, but yes it is in the SE, and towns like Rocky Ford and La Junta could be considered being in my neck of the woods.

I put a screen over the Bubba Hash plants finally. Their growth has taken off enough to where I’ll start posting about them more often now. There appear to be two phenos showing, with two plants of each. One is a taller, naturally branchy plant and the other is a squat, single-stalk plant with bunched, wide leaves. Both branchy plants are bent over from the screen, and the other ones are barely at screen level at the moment. Still, the branchy ones required the screen, so in it went.
