Or a pollen sac. I had 4 GDP seeds and two were obvious males. Taller and had clearly visible normal looking pollen sacks. The 2 I thought were females are shorter and bushier, and one only has what appear to be hairs and the other has this thing that I really don’t want to be a testicle because out of 10 seeds I have yet to get a female. This was the last of the GDP seeds I have lol.
May be a bit early, but looks like the start to a male to me.

I can’t tell either from that pic but hey, if it’s a male it will show you decisively long before it can do any damage so I would say just be patient and you will know soon.
I’m thinking if I get at least one female I can just throw em in a separate tent and let ‘em do the nasty and then have abunch more gdp seeds to try.
Would you do that or try to keep them apart and selectively pollinate the branches manually? I don’t want gdp pollen in my grows at random I feel like that would contaminate everything for months to come.
Personally I would harvest a bunch of pollen from the male and prep/store it correctly then pollenate where/what you want. Good pollen is surprisingly potent and you can do a LOT with selective pollination.
Then (if prepped and stored correctly in the freezer) after you find out if the pollen made good plants, you can go back and use the pollen again on another project/test.
Too early to tell… wait for the hairs to come out… then you’ll know for sure!!
It depends on your goals.
How many seeds do you want?
How much smoke do you want?
How many different types of seed do you want?
What I tend to do is veg until I see sex then flip. Then I move the males to a jail and collect pollen.
The best I can do with my setup is 2 males and however many females fit in my 2x4, usually 4.
I suggest you keep it simple and straightforward and don’t try to do too much.
One nicely pollinated branch can give you loads of seeds.
All the best.
I think male pollen is only viable for 3-4 days after the plant releases it (someone keep me honest here, I may be totally wrong).
So it wouldn’t pollute your grow area for too long.
But it will definitely pollinate everything and anything in the house during those couple days
I thought male pollen can be stored… maybe frozen??
Some keep male pollen viable for a long time but they are more clever than me.
I haven’t had great experiences with stored pollen.
3-4 days sounds too short though. Like, I let pollen drop for a week before collecting and it’s all good
Upon this it looks like a to me, but most of the times I’m wrong …
I’m not sure exactly how long it remains viable out in the open but definitely not months. Probably depends on the individual environment in question. I didn’t even spray or wipe down after my last seed run. Current run is sensi as planned.
I’ve seen pictures of George and he has a moustache just like that emoji. Very posh.
Looks like nuts to me
Okay so assuming I pollinate the gdp female with the gdp male from the same seed genes that would be an F1 seed?
A couple things….
First, I used some pollen collected on the outer rim of a grow bag, this was after the plant was dead and dried for several months. It probably did lose some viability, though I believe some of it took. I was doing select pollination, however regardless of viability, just because you hit doesn’t mean it’s guaranteed to take. I had to do multiple rounds to insure they took, which means I needed more pollen. To the freezing part, I folded foil w pollen residue and made a small food saver bag and sealed it up. I sealed that up in Jan and used it in March. The seeds for me were random, not where I hit the area, but clearly my pollen was viable, cause I would have been up shit creek on the project losing Xmas bud. So yes, vac seal it, rice grain and it’s possible to dilute 1-4 ratio of flour, which I did a larger batch for. Pollen has a silky flowing look when it’s sealed up and fresh. I will say this, using tiny amounts to pollinate was far easier 20-25 years than today, which tells me calyx aren’t as receptive to fertility as it used to be…food for thought
@PhilCuisine is the king of frozen pollen. He had a batch that was still viable after 15 years.I don’t even think he froze it just kept it in the fridge. His Thunderfuck plants are exceptional
I personally think its a female but as other’s have said, It’s still a bit early to really tell.
That being said, most male’s I’ve seen have an extra leaf cupping the formation, and/or they look like they’re growing on a stick.
