No pics cause I removed the spot and it was very small. I noticed whati thought were trichomes on a old leaf stem but it was mold, and I noticed another very small spot on the end of a leaf. The tent is a 2x2 and my pot takes up the entire tent floor so I have no room for more fans to up the airflow. I’m ready to scrap the plants since I dry my plants in the same closet as the tent and dont want drying crop contaminated. It’s also 2nd flower tent so I’m not too upset if I have to dump all the plants. Also they’re probably 30-50 days into flower I haven’t been keeping track.
Lots of ways to play it.
My thought is to remove any branch that has been slightly affected and keep your eyes open.
I found some at harvest time, threw away about half and the rest was fine. Can’t say so early in flower.
I would remove the affected area/buds and even the area next the fungus but that’s just me…
I know its hard to pick off some nugs and all but, you can do it…
No worries yet but lets get control of it…
What is your humidity at and what kind of airflow (fans) you have going on in there!.
Do you happen to have any picture of the affected spot or spots?
Let us know …
I would remove the offending branch at minimum, and scrap the plant itself at most. Seems like you’re right to be concerned about the drying crop.
So I have my veg tent and this tent connected together. There is a 4" intake fan in the veg tent and a 4" exhaust fan on the flower tent. That is my only source of airflow in these tents. Usually humidity isn’t an issue because I either open a window or run a dehumidifier but I was gone for 3 days and didn’t leave it running and it has rained nonstop for 3 days so it spiked pretty bad. Right now the rh in the tent is 50
Also I just removed the pot from the tent and am thoroughly inspecting everything, will post pics if I find more
Sacrificed one of the bigger buds on the offending plant to cut it up and see what the middle looked like. Nothing too concerning besides a bit of dried up material which could possibly rot
Sounds like you are on the right track. RH at 50 is ok. Your plant appears to be stacking nicely so airflow is going to be key. I realize you have intake and exhaust fan but just make sure there is enough air movement from top to bottom inside your 2x2. It sounds like you are good but observe your plants leaves for movement inside the tent. You want to make sure your entire plant is getting airflow and there are no dead zones.
I have seen worse…
Looks like observing your plant is paying off…
You caught it early…
I thought I could get away without another fan but I’ll have to see if I can find a small one I can hang in here
