The Chem D x (Black Triangle F2) run has reached ideal moisture levels for curing.

Sealing them up until Early September.

Can’t wait to crack these open for the smoke report!

I always appreciate your support brother! I am still hoping to hear how the ECSD x (Chem Del LA Chem F2) Beast Coast Sour Diesel is smoking for you at some point! Positive vibes…

Ill Eagle Birdseed’s

Dogwalker Del La Chem - (Dog Walker OG X (Chem Del La Chem F2))

Germination date 6-14-24

Days Vegging : 40

Days Flowering : 12

Total Days : 52

Well, I’ve had 2 more plants show as females over the last week for a total of 7. Last week I had 5 confirmed females and I figured that was it. There were two plants (#s 8 & 10) that I wasn’t sure about, but was almost convinced were males. So, I put them aside and a few days later they sent up pistils. Some of these plants have an androgynous looking sex organ until the pistils appear.

A few of these plants are very tall, particularly #2. Nugzz tells me these are likely Chem Del La Chem leaners. The shorter ones leaning Dogwalker. All plants emit an acrid, old school weed smell. It reminds me of the stuff that went around in the late 80s-early & 90’s that people just called “hydro”.
I’ve never smoked either of the parental varieties, so this should be a real treat.

Since I have these **7 Dogwalker OG x (Chem Del La Chem F2)’**s plus 4 bushy cuttings of the Chem D x (Black Triangle F2)'s from the last run, my room is too full to move around in. So, I won’t be able to use the pretty red backdrop until the fore-mentioned Chem D cuttings are out of the way. So, forgive me for any reduced photo quality.

#2 This lady is just about to be level with my lights! She’s pushing 4 feet tall. You go girl! Lol!

#2

#3 Some of the plants of both leaners display this curly pattern of the new growth. This is something that I’ve never seen before. Anyone have any experience with this expression?

#3

#4 is one of the short, bushy Dogwalker leaners.

#4

#5 is another of the “Curly Sue” expressors and a tall Chem leaner.

#5

#8 is short Dogwalker leaner but also mildly displays the curly growth.

#8

#9 displays the “Curly Sue” feature most dramaticlly of them all. That sure is an unusual trait.

#9

#10 is another Curly Sue Chem leaner. I wonder is this relates to a particular terp/effect. We shall see. We shall see.

#10

See y’all next week.

I feel like I may have seen it a time or two with some of my flowering plants, although I can’t remember which ones they were now. I don’t typically start paying attention to the grow at all until about six weeks into flower, but it does seem like a little general “weirdness” isn’t uncommon for a few weeks after flipping. They usually grow out of it, as I’m sure you know.

The more important question is: what’re you doing with all of that canned “Fruit Cocktail”?!? Haha!!! WTF???

Hey, I’m prepared for the apocalypse with all this fruit cocktail! Lol!

The weird thing is, these have displayed this expression since they were small seedlings.

Nugzz thinks it might be environmental.

I tend to agree.

Possible light sensitivity?

The world may never know.

You’re set with all the essentials. Weed and fruit cocktail like any true doomsday prepper should have.

Yeah, I was thinking it might be environmental (although I saw your hygrometer in that pic, looks like temps and humidity have been fine, if not admirable haha; how the fuck are you keeping things that close to ideal at this time of year?). If it was just the one plant that you mentioned was growing up into the light, then yeah, but if all of them are doing it, you gotta figure it must be a genetic thing.

I dunno…

I keep things in check this time of year with the aid of 2 dehumidifiers and an extra window A/C unit “custom” installed in the basement door. Lol!

It’s not all of them, just about half of them display it in varying degrees. Others look normal, like all my other plants. Even one short one that’s not even close to the light does it a little.
Like this one.

Then there’s one so tall it’s practically kissing the LEDs and it’s barely doing it at all.

Then there’s this one that’s a medium distance from the lights that’s quite the drama queen. Lol!

As you an see, the fan leaves are completely normal lower on the plant.

If this links to a particular trait, it will certainly be easy to spot.

Yeah, it’s interesting, too, how it seems to be happening on several different “phenotypes.” Maybe it’s just the angle from which you’re taking those pics, but I see it happening on a nine-bladed plant that appears to have much closer internodes than the one in that last pic.

It’s probably just the genetics and the “inbreeding” sorta aspect of that Dogwalker Del La Chem hybrid, with the Chem on both sides of the parent plants. I wouldn’t worry about it and I’m sure you’re not haha, but it is interesting. The Wacky World of Cannabis…

Just as an aside, I grew an Albert Walker hybrid (no Chem involved) a few years ago and it was very, very good weed. I haven’t read anything bad about Albert Walker at all.

Your good word on the Albert Walker makes me more excited to try this cross out.

Could be the angle on some, my room is so full at the moment it’s tough to get the perfect shot.

No worries at all.

Testing, to me, is about scrutinizing every observable trait of the plant and watching for intersex traits.

At this point, I have so much weed that if it all turns out good, then great!
If things don’t work out for whatever reason, no big deal.

I just hope the information I provide Nugzz is helpful.

I’ve got it on a newly rooted Mendo Breath clone, though not nearly as dramatic

That’s very interesting.

I’m sure it is. I find it useful, anyway haha. If nothing else, at least stank acknowledges everybody’s posts. When I was testing for Bodhi, I’d send him and the (now-ex) Mrs. my weekly updates and never, ever heard back from them haha. It was just like,”Hello? Is this thing on? Do I have the wrong email address?” haha!

Stank is a goodun, as us southerners say.

I know he’s a busy man but he still finds time to respond us.

Ignoring your good and reliable testers doesn’t seem like a winning move. Lol!

I am nothing and no one, but I do appreciate you for saying that! The feeling is mutual brother!

My life tends to stay busy, but it has been crazy busy lately. Definitely difficult to hold it down with everything that I have going on. There are literally never enough hours in the day.

I am also working on getting everything together for a server fund auction/becoming a sponsor around the first week of September. It is exciting, but on top of everything else, it is a daunting task haha.

I can’t emphasize enough how much the information that you and other reliable testers provide is literally invaluable.

I could go on for days about how difficult it is to find reliable testers, who actually keep their word and grow/document the testers.

I truly appreciate you and everyone else who keeps their word and posts updates regularly. Positive vibes…
