East Coast Cherry Sours (East Coast Sour Diesel x Cherry West) Testers

Well folks, in every life some rain must fall.

Things have come to a halt with the Cherry Sours. I know they are not old seeds but that’s exactly how they behaved. All the seeds sprouted but many were helmet heads, half of the sprouts didn’t have the first sets of leaves, just the cotyledons. And the cotyledons on most of the sprouts were paper thin and not succulent and healthy looking.
Ive seen this when I’ve tried to sprout seeds that were many years old. I have surmised and speculated but Nugzz and I really have no idea what happened. Aside from overheating in transit, I’m stumped. All my pots and equipment have been sterilized with bleach. I used the same media and techniques for germination that I have for well over a decade. I’ve spent a lot of time and money creating the ideal environment for my grow spaces. But even the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry. So, I’m just going to chalk this one up to shit happens and move on.

I’ve spent a lot of time and money creating the ideal environment for my grow spaces.

I have seen you get 100% germination rates every single time with my seeds and grow beautiful plants. If there is one thing that I know for sure, the issue is definitely not with your germination technique/growing skills or equipment.

I do germination tests for every batch of seeds before they go into storage. This particular batch of seeds was harvested April 2023. I feel like I might even have started growing the ECSD x (Cherry West Bc) East Coast Cherry Sours after I tested germination rates and definitely didn’t have any issues. I am going to do my best to get another round of these seeds started from that same batch and see what I find.

Aaaarrrrggghhhh… Of all of stank’s crosses, that was the one I was most likely to try. And I may still test those out. I kind of feel like,”I can get those to pop. I can grow those,” haha.

I really hope this was just a fluke or some mistake on my part.

Or maybe they were somehow damaged through excessive heat, postal x-ray radiation, ect.

I’m sure more germ tests will be carries out by the both of us.

It’s all a journey… haha.

I make that joke constantly (Seinfeld reference), but it’s true. It’s why I like planting seeds every round, as opposed to fucking with clones. With clones, you pretty much know exactly what’s gonna happen from start to finish; with seeds… Who knows? That’s where the fun is.

Especially those varieties that don’t root so easily.

Right. I dunno what it is, because my alcohol choice has been the same for decades haha, but with weed, I just wanna see more plants! I wanna try more! I wanna grow and smoke everything that interests me! haha.

I did take cuts from my Gojis and Mountain Temples the first time I grew them, like eight years ago. Used the root puck/tray/dome method. Seven days later, some of them had roots starting, but I came home after an evening of Jack Daniels and cocaine and threw them all out. I don’t remember what my rationale for doing that was, but it made sense in the moment haha.

So am I. Those days are (mostly) behind me haha. But every now and then…

And I regret it. Every. Single. Time. Haha.

Getting older is weird. I used to be able to not sleep for 70 or 80 hours, working my ass off and then partying every night/morning, no sleep, fucking random chicks for twelve hours, back to work etc etc. And then I’d finally go to bed, sleep for six hours, eat some oatmeal and egg whites, go for a hike and then do it all over again.

Now? I’m sore for a week and can barely move. A hike is completely out of the question haha!

I think I’d be more inclined to buy/wear that if it wasn’t for the stuff on the back, even though I agree with the sentiment. I like the front; the back’s too busy for me.

Is supershit still doing the printing? Just curious if that worked out. I haven’t heard from that dude in a long time.
