It’s awesome for the price. I picked up 1kg for $60
48hrs under wet paper towel and we have 6/6 Sugar Belts and 3/7 Nanna Glue x Suagr Belts in pots. The other seeds are cracked and just a few hours from ready.
These beans are testers beans so in the interests of being a good and helpful tester I am going to do something unusual for me and take notes on the grow. In the spirit of that, here they are on day 5. Temperature holding at 27c with humidity between 63%-72%. Some far they have only been given dechlorinated water.
6/6 sugar belts have come up. 5/7 nana glue x sugar belts have come up but 3 have not opened properly yet. Hopefully tomorrow they are open.
The strawberry cheese auto and the Suga Suga are both showing some deficiencies some I did a slurry test to see what the soil PH looked like. My tap water water tests at 6.93, the control soil I soaked tested at 6.81 but the strawberry cheese was 5.22 and the Suga Suga is at 5.85. For now I have flushed with a few gallons of 7ph water and added a small amount of Dolomite lime to the pots. See if this helps.
The strawberry cheese flowers are already starting to get pretty.
The cookies is cruising along happily.
!Awesome and thank you! I’ll be following along. I appreciate you trying my gear. I think your going to be pleased with the end result!
No worries man, my pleasure! They are gonna be awesome
Put together some SIPs tonight. Shoutout to @CrunchBerries and @BeagleZ for all the information and inspiration!
The bottom layer is 70% Promix HP and 30% worm castings.
Next layer is 1 1/4 cup of dolomite lime.
On top of that it’s a mix of 50% Promix HP, 20% worm castings,10% sea compost, 10% sheep compost, 10% perlite and Gaia green 4-4-4 and 2-4-8 (75% strength at the rate for the full 11gl container)
Next layer is 1 cup of 2 row barley, blended into a powder and 1 cup bokashi
Let this sit for a few weeks and we should have a mat of mycelium growing on top.
Looking good dude! Excited to follow along!!
That’ll grow some dank:+1:
There comes a point in every man’s life when he says to himself, I really need a giant tote of rotting food, soil and worms in my basement. For me that point came today.
My new worm bin.
Also new bokashi bins. Time to start composting
@Loggershands with a plan.
The tester seedlings are doing fine but not amazing. I realized I had planted them into the same soil that’s being giving me PH problems with other plants. They are lighter in colour than I would like. I am watering them with baking soda and water to raise the ph quickly but I think the best plan is to up-pot them into fresh soil mix.
Cookies is doing great, just started stacking nicely.
The Suga Suga is a great plant, excellent structure. She has recovered really well and is getting ready for some pollen.
Strawberry Cheese auto is still looking angry. The Dolomite lime and the baking soda is not helping its colour but she is still growing. I’ll do another slurry test tomorrow and see if the PH has moved in the right direction.
Looks great. You gotta plant party going on in there…
Thanks mate! I’ve got a little time off right now so trying to pump out the projects while I can
Nice man! That ought to make some tasty buds!
Yeah man! I’m excited to see what these bad boys can do. Picking the best SB and NG x SB to run them next to regular pots to see the difference
Sounds like a proper experiment. Good idea!
i’ve tried making some homemade activated Biochar. Where I live is really remote and I was having some problems sourcing it locally so this seems like the next best option. I’ve got natural hardwood charcoal and smashed it up in a bucket (it should be smashed more but I’m injured and this is all I can do right now). Then added worm castings (50% of total volume), 1 cup LAB, 1/2 cup Molasses, 1/2 fish hydrolslate, water soluble humic/Fulvic/kelp and 1/4 cup FFJ. Fill with de-chlorinated water and let this sit for 2 weeks or so and start adding it to my soil mixes
Cool man. Let me know how that works out.
