I quite fancy doing a permanent crop, 9 plants in the flower room , 1 in 1 out on a weekly basis but my plants get too high and hence the light is far above a new plant going in.
So I’ve come up with this individual SOG idea to try and combat the height issue and still be able to do a permanent crop .
What do you reacken, will it work?
You probably mean SCROG as it stands for Screen of Green …
I must amitt I wasn’t sure what it was called. So is SOG a sea Of green, not that I know what one is.
Ok now looked up SOG
I’ve thought about using the cage/fencing for scrogging before, hows it working out for you so far?
It’s working fine do far, it doesn’t appear to stress the plants out too much but only been on 3 days, I’m going to try and fill it, ish, maybe have 15 or 20 shoots coming up.
I try and keep the thread up to date but I did fail miserably doing so on my grow dairy.
It is good solution to optimize yield. You just need to find ideal combination of screen height and veg time for particular strain. That needs some experience with the strain…
Now youve stumped me. I was just going to keep bending them under untill the screen looked full, any area that was full I was going to snip down to lowest shoot to try and keep an even height for all the shoots.
Can you help me out and post a link to a relevant thread were it explains what difference the hight of the screen or veg time of the plant would make and how I could get it wrong.
Nice one
Each strain will stretch in different ways so it’s hard to say. A general rule of thumb is to fill the screen 75% or so then switch to flowering.
Cool design I’ve thought about how to do something like that for a while now…clever
Cheers, I’ll have a search in the old threads, see if I can find anything about it.
The screen height is easily adjustable, just push the legs up either way to raise or lower the screen.
It’s got about a 10 inch range
I did this back in the day- each plant had its own chicken wire scrog bc I was in a long, narrow closet and had to pull everything out to water.
It worked out great and helped me achieve my best yields.
Looking good so far mate
