Indoor mainlining

Yes, cadman looks great. Looking forward to this harvest and many more to come. Rainy and cold again? Your one month of summer good weather is already over?

Hi @Heliosphear. Since the beginning of covid, summer is so different. The kind I remember when I was little. I donā€™t know what it is. This year is even colder than last year.

Hot and high humidity here, winter doesnā€™t happen here anymore. Climate change is affecting all of us differently, more growers are moving indoor world wide.

I hope your having a good week.

I wish you well. I tried mainlining couple times a number of years back after I started growing, on another forum some butthurt woke idiot got pissed and said it was a IV drug use reference and DEMANDED everyone call it ā€œmanifoldingā€, silly idiot. Regardless I think you will ultimately find it needlessly increases veg time by at least 10 days to 2 weeks and has no real increase in yield IMO. I did it for 6 mains if i remember correctly and found info on grow weed easy long time ago. It was an experiment for a still new grower and I moved back to traditional growing. I was using seeds at the time and mainlining is not really suited for clones due to the asymmetrical nodes vs seeds. Best of luck.

Itā€™s supposed to rain all week. So not much. But it doesnā€™t matter now. Everything is under the roof. Thereā€™s still time for seeds.

Hello @Jasper. Iā€™m happy for your opinion. Iā€™m a beginner and I like to try something new. Iā€™m not all that concerned about the return, but I think it might be bigger than last time. When I averaged 47 grams from one plantā€¦ Basically, Iā€™m looking for something that works for me. Iā€™d like you to look at me once in a while and honor me with some advice or criticism.

Hi Lapolda, much interested in your grow, I was going to try this technique in my new grow after reading this Papalagā€™s beer3|nullxnull thread:

It takes more vegging time but my jars are filled, I will follow you to see your results, why do you think you screwed it up? :sunglasses:

Thanks @George glade you liked the results

Iā€™v been mainline, manifold, fluxing ( what ever you want to call it lol ) for a few grows now I see that if you keep up on the pruning and do let it veg it will produce very well with no popcorn or larf ( depending on how you prune )

I feel 12 to 16 mains do the trick
Itā€™ also depends on the plants ! now I have ( in the main tent ) 4 plants 2 faster growing then the other 2 the faster ones will produce more .
This seems to work for me
I was getting a great deal of small buds with scrog

This method makes me keep up on the pruning to produce a better crop

Just my 2 cents
Peace l

Hi @Lapolda I just got caught up on this thread and I see the
Little missing branch I broke a few my self getting aggressive early lol :joy:

Years ago I first tried mainline on a different forum and had the same reference war due to the term mainline

I also was not as successful at my fist attempt I found it very time consuming and no one on the site supposed the technique so I stopped

Here I found the support I needed to make it successful and I am retired with a lot of time on my hands

Pruning is everything and extra veg time is needed 2 to 3 weeks depending on plant growth and skill level

I enjoyed the thread. Iā€™ll tag along if you donā€™t mind

If you are doing selective pollination, mainlining or manifolding is a great way to structure the female plants. You can easily isolate individual branches for pollination.

If you like mainlining id look into ā€œquadliningā€. Same idea with a few changes that are meant to cut down on veg time and end up with more or less the same end result.

Thanks Neb, it is so detailed that Iā€™ll try that way ā€¦ beer3|nullxnull

Hi @George . Good to see you :slightly_smiling_face:. Well, I was anxious, so I managed to snap off a branch. I have to learn to be patient in that respect. Iā€™ll look at the link and read it.

I tried to cut this afternoon. I cut the second knot and didnā€™t open the first and third. I cut it off behind the third knot, too. That should give me eight major heads. I donā€™t know if thatā€™ll workā€¦

hello @Papalag. Yes, I was anxious and nervous. I also donā€™t have the feeling in my fingers I wish I did, because Iā€™m doing hard work. Hopefully itā€™ll get better as my girls get bigger. :slightly_smiling_face:

hello @Neb. Well, Iā€™ve got to check it out. I havenā€™t read about it yet. Iā€™m sure itā€™ll be interesting. Thank you for broadening my horizons

I did some mainlining around 8 years ago and was happy with the results either way i think youll be happy with your results!

1st time was in soil and I found my plants took much longer to recover than the 2nd time i did it in hydro!

Hi Lapolda, I think plants are like dogs, if youā€™re stressed they will also be stressed ā€¦

I will try a blend between Quadsquad and Papalagā€™s method, letting firstly grow more nodes before topping them in the base so stems are stronger, roots bigger and plant has more time to recover between prunings, should be fun ā€¦ beer3|nullxnull

@Neb. Iā€™d like to try hydro, but the land is cheaper and I also have no idea what I need.

I hope youā€™ll tag me so I can watch your growth, if Iā€™m not already watching it. Iā€™m not sure. I need to see what the Papalag method is. It sounds very interesting.
