Man the LCH 11 are super frosty even when seeded. @HolyAngel
Week 10 concluded yesterday, I imagine they see 12 weeks for the rest of the seeds to finish maturing.

Some seeds are ripe but more time for 90% of the rest of the seeds. Ill pluck out some that are ready so I dont lose them if they drop.

Non seeded :crossed_fingers: Im already out and want more to smoke haha.
Shes happy.

Metal Haze x DE #1
She is really shining this round. Had to super crop her today for the main cola to get light again.

Fed all but she was the catalyst to feed all.

Yeah, with the genetics I work with I haven’t seen any of that “the plant just focuses on making seeds instead of resin/flower” talk. I still see the same resin/flower production and no real loss in potency. Sometimes even better effects depending on the girl :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I’m waiting on mine to root in the octo, start taking off, and then I’ll flip :fire:

Dream Drifters F1s

Day 59F
I’m pleased with 75% in this deeper look into them before taking them to F2. After the smoke tests
I still am going forward to three versions:

V1 - Sweet blue cheese funk taste/scent, later side to finish 9-11 weeks
V2 - Sweet blue cheese funk taste/scent and Earlier finish 8-9 weeks.
V3 - Metallic-y semi sweet blue dream funk taste/scent, Most likely 12-14 weeks to finish.

All the chosen ladies to go forward must be potent and match within reason of my targets for taste profile. I think I can achieve at least two out of the three with this look. V3 might need some more hunting but we’ll see. In two more weeks, I should get a better scent profile on the later ladies.

DD Keeper for comparison.

1 - On the short list for V1.
Scent: Semi Sweet blue dream, no funky cheese profile.
Red/Green Stem trait: Red
Side note; sandy trichomes on this one.

2 - Not really seeing much in her but she could be a V3 candidate since she seems a later finisher.
Scent: Hazy/incense, no sweetness, kind of muted scent.
Red/Green Stem trait: Partial Red

3 - Keeping an eye on here, Not on the short list yet but possibly V3 candidate.
Scent: Metallic-y Blue dream. Possible candidate for V3
Red/Green Stem trait: Partial Red

4 - Star of the show so far. V1 candidate. Very similar to the Keeper I have I was originally going to F2 with.
Scent: Closest to the Keeper, Blue dream cheesy funk.
Red/Green Stem trait: Partial Red

5 - I figured it would be more robust since its smaller buds. Not on the short list.
Scent: Sweet berry not very robust,
Red/Green trait Stem: Green
Side note: Shortest plant out of all. Interesting bud structure on her. Tiny buds.

Part 2 pending.
Ill do part 3 later on.

Dream Drifters F1s

Day 59F
6 - Not stoked on her but could be in a couple weeks.

Scent: Semi sweet Pinesol, slight acridness.
Red/Green Stem trait: Green, partial red streaks

7 - Frosty, Early Finishing lady.
Scent: Piney, Subtle sweet blue dream cheese on the backend.
Red/Green Stem trait: Green, partial red streaks
Side note: Hope the pine doesn’t come thru in the smoke or it’s not a contender for V2. I’ll take her to 10 weeks.

8 -Eh, keep scrolling haha.

Scent: Bitter lemon, no sweetness.
Red/Green Stem trait: green
Side note: Very leafy. not much frost.

9 - Been catching my eye for a while now. should be some great smoke. Maybe a candidate but the spice backend isn’t something I’d like in them.

Scent: Semi sweet blue dream, Slight spice in the backend
Red/Green Stem trait:Red

10 - I like her bud structure. Should be a longer flowering lady. 12-14 weeks probably for her.

Scent: Funky B.O, Slight grape. Very odd profile considering the rest.
Red/Green Stem trait: Green

Well six weekish ago I hit the MH x De, MG, Kilimanjaro’s with H/sk1 pollen. I didn’t see anything swelling so I assumed that the pollen didn’t take. I’m second guessing myself not that the seeds I’m plucking off them are from the DD pollen.

Some seeds are mature but most are immature. It’s likely to be the DD pollen that hit them. Similar timeframe as the LCH 11’s, Kilimanjaro and MG started to swell. Also, all three need more time to finish the immature seeds that are visible.

Malawi Gold x H/sk1 or DD?

Kilimanjaro x Haze/Sk1 or DD.?

They should be fun to try out in the future but a bummer that I can’t say definitively what hit them. The goal was to make some building blocks for future fun projects with Haze/sk1 pollen on them.

@HolyAngel chopped the LCH clones. Day 73F
They suffered under the canopy long enough. Flipped them too early.

1- Farewell flower.

I have another one (not pictured here) I staggered a week later and its stalled. Possibly soil too damp. so, I may just take her out of her misery and free up some space. Collect off her when I make some bubble hash since she is coated.

9 - Farewell flower.

6 - Will grow more clones out of her. Have two to up pot today.

With those three chopped, I flipped two MH x DE #2 and one MH x DE #1s. If I timed them right, I shouldn’t have to super crop them.

Hope you’re having a great weekend already brotha!
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t stoked and having a ton of fun. Although I do miss popping seeds of multiple varieties. I’m going to figure out a way to pop some in between the project. :sunglasses: :vulcan_salute:

Strictly because of flavor preferences or…? I only ask because any weed that I’ve smoked that has a “spicy” element to it always portends good things as far as the high is concerned haha. I’ve grown/smoked OG’s and OG hybrids that had that going on and grown/smoked Haze stuff that also had that going on, didn’t seem to matter. If there’s a little “spiciness,” it almost always means I’m gonna like the high.

What does that mean to you? Have you noticed a difference in the plants with either red or green stems? Just curious. I used to notice red stems and whatever, but now I don’t even really pay attention to it haha.

Maybe I should…

Anyway, blue cheese flavors sound awesome. And sorry for asking so many questions. I’m here to learn… haha.

Yea, but hard to judge how it will smoke and what it could bring to the table. I personally don’t prefer the spicy smoke but I will enjoy it until its gone none the less lol.

I’m using it as a potential marker for me to trace some of the H/sk1 throughout them. Potentially leading to the longer flowering ladies or have the most robust cerebral effect in the smoke.
I remember seeing the trait in OP of H/sk1s. Although its not limited to only Haze/sk1. As the Malawi gold has that trait as well.

Yea I remember smoking blue cheese back in the day but I dont know if it was legit. Tasted like blueberry cheesy funk. I always loved to smoke BD and so when those profile presented themselves. I’d love to lock it down if possible.

Lmao. :sunglasses: :vulcan_salute:

for sure. red stems all the way down, but only 2 of 3 had the deep red stems, it’s a very cool trait.

Yea 1 and 9 have the deep red stems, Like a barbershop pole haha.

Would you be interested in a couple mystery seed off the MG? Its either DD or H/sk1 after they dry for a couple weeks?

no thanks man, i have enough of my “new” strain to work with. and after doing a flower grow i’ll be doing another seeds run using a male of my new strain.

No worries brotha.

Reach out when the time comes, I’ll make some space to try a couple. You piqued my interest with your new strain. :sunglasses: :vulcan_salute:

i have no plans to release the strain, but i’ll be crossing a male of it to a nice variety of strains which i plan to release to testers. so it’ll be a while, but i’ll keep you in mind. :+1:

Makes sense, are you going to F2 with the unreleased strain then use a male from those to hit varieties?

Its how I am trying to go about it. Steer a line a bit then look for a stud in the F2s.

no, just the F1s. i’ve had pretty good luck with F1s
