Hi everyone; thanks for having me. I’m Doge - my friend @lophophora.ca ‘reefered’ me (here’s hoping that joke isn’t used 50000 times already…). Looking forward to reading and contributing however possible.

Bit about me, just started learning a year or so ago with the help of @lophophora.ca . Have grown Northern Lights Auto/GSC and LSD from seed and clone, both indoor and outdoor, hydro and soil… Or at least attempted

I just found a few non-fem White Rhino and White Widow seeds and i’m sprouting them as of today, not sure of the plan yet - if I get a male I may try my luck at making seeds this round or some fem seeds with some silver.

I will share my progress with a grow journal. I have some pictures of past grows I will share as well. I appreciate the invite and look forward to my membership. I’m in the GTA, other hobbies include DogeCoin trading, programming, and doing only good every day!

Thanks again,

D.

Here’s a few of the latest grow. For potency, I couldn’t tell you - I just grow to help my father with his ailments primarily, but I hear it was pretty good. I take no credit, must have been good seeds

Laughing buddha, and GSC - GSC went a bit purple was experimenting with cold temperature changes near the one side of the tent during fall. All were mainlined. The outdoor pic are the 4 ongoing, front 2 are Northern Lights Auto. The back right is LSD, also mainlined to 8 mains but still somehow over the fence. Neighbor not happy! LOL. Thanks again for the welcome!

Couple more, laughing buddha

And the first Northern Grow, using the 20 dollar jewelers loupe if I line it up with your rear camera on your cell and zoom, balance on 1 foot, get lucky with the focus at the right moment…got decent ripeness shots

Hey y’all, excited to find this place again.

New account, but not really new to the forum scene. Was an admin of a harm reduction forum in the early aughts and had an acct on the original overgrow but was not growing at the time.

Nerd by day, hippie by night, 9th generation cut flower grower. Though my generation was the first not to see the true family commercial operation, I was still around the industry constantly from a young age. By the time I was 8 I was cutting, grading, bunching and packing an acre of liatris when my dad was out of town. My first trip to Amsterdam to see Dutch greenhouse tech was when I was 12. There’s a few commercial rose varieties with our genes in them.

Moved from the EC to CO in 2010 and started growing cannabis, closet scale at first, moved onto tents then garages. I still have active accounts on a few of the other forums with grow logs from that time but am rather embarrassed of the results. Owner of the local hydro shop moved in with me when he got kicked out of his rental and me and my girl split. Took off from there, but a few years ago a falling out took me out of the game.

Recently moved out of the city and into the mountains on my own property and got the spark back. Staying indoors and legal for now. Still got a 9-5 in the tech industry but haven’t seen a coworker in 12 years.

Also making the switch from hydro to soil. Had a few failed soil grows back in the day but have been almost exclusively dwc or coco. It’s like learning all over again in many ways.

Late night forum browsing lead me to a few podcasts and articles that shed some light on who the people I was dealing with decades ago really turned out to be, and how legit some of the stuff I smoked in my younger days really was. I’m going to leave names out but I can’t believe who I knew and what I saw without realizing it for 20 years. Really explains some of the tastes and smells I’ve been chasing.

This, combined with the familial nostalgia that comes with getting older has me getting more into the genetic side of things. I also inherited a bunch of stuff recently, including family greenhouse journals that go a couple hundred years back. Think I’ll need to wait for laws to evolve a bit before I can truly start a project but boy do I have plans!

Sorry for the book, but it’s good to be here, sometimes it gets lonely up in these hills.
