Hello, all… I’m a retired military member/civilian defense worker living in Ontario, Canada. I’m just getting into growing weed for medicinal purposes. I’ve just put up a growing tent and am trying my hand at cloning because seeds are so expensive. Presently I’m cloning a Skunk #1 and have two Critical Mass autoflowers that I cloned from someone elses plant. I’ve already had and solved a couple of problems. (too much light and ph too high in one of my Skunks) I’m having fun so far!

Hi @nissan_ranger! Welcome to Overgrow!!

Have a look around, check us out and ask questions.
Once you get comfortable, start a grow log and set down roots
You’ll be surprised how fast your game improves.

Hey @Gazza! We got some Aussies around here somewhere. Welcome to Overgrow. This is where all your Green Dreams can come true! Lol. Any questions please feel free to ask. Everything I’ve learned was from here.

Hey @nissan_ranger. Welcome to Overgrow! Your right beans can be expensive. Clones are the way to go. I personally like Clone Tech gel myself.
Cloning Autos can be tuff. They can be tricky little basterds those Autos.

Can’t wait to see y’alls work. See you inside!

Welcome to OG Nissan Ranger, once you have been here a little while, you will have more seeds than you know what to do with for very little money.

Get your green pips up by posting and visiting the site regularly and you can sign up for the co op seed runs.

Thanks for the welcome, Shadey… I’m looking for the right place to put up a couple of pictures of what I’ve got going now. Where might that be??

Depends on your grow it sounds like your growing indoors, so start there, then it’s soil, soiless, or Hydro. Then organic or salt based. It can be a little confusing so don’t worry, if it’s not right, a moderator can move it for you  Grow room diaries would probably be best.

Thanks again… The one advantage I have is that I’ve been gardening for over 45 years with garlic, wild berries, and potatos being my specialty… But weed is a totally new venture for me.

i just replaced my first tent with this bigger one. The tent is vented into my chimney via the cold air intake on my woodstove which is my only source of heat here…

Like the thought you put into it. I got my exhaust going out my window. I wish I could send it up. Or at least out of the dryer duct. But I would have to move my tent. I dont trust people I live with. :disappointed_relieved:

That’s close to the stove, might be hard to regulate the heat in the tent like that, I guess you will find out soon enough

The temperature varies as much as it reasonably might outside in our growing season; cooler at night because I don’t feed the fire to go all night (the house would be too hot) and warmer by day. I do have heating pads underneath the plants so they never go below 75 F. and the entry ‘door’ is closed at night.

Welcome @nissan_ranger! Great place here! Some of us may pick your brain about garlic, berries, potatoes. Many have food & herb gardens beyond cannabis.
