Hi! I introduced myself on the introduction thread a few months back. I’ve just been absorbing all the good vibes here on an almost daily basis. I just started a new grow. The plants are a week old.
First up is Orange Kush x Huckleberry Soda from Annunuki Genetics
The plants are under a Mars Hydro TS1000 about 20” away, dimmed to 50%, 24/0.
They are in Coast of Maine Stonington Blend. They’ll be in this medium for the whole grow.
Once they outgrow the solo cups, I’ll transplant them to 1 gallon fabric pots. I’d like to finish them in 1 gallons, but if they get upset I’ll transplant to 3 gallon fabric pots. My last grow I had to transplant to 3 gallon pots, and the plants came out great. I had good temp and humidity in my 2x2 using my ac infinity 4”, with the bottom flaps of the tent open. We will see what the plants do.
Im going to try using this stuff this grow! image|375x500
Does anyone have experience with this product?
I’ll update in a few days when the plants get a little bigger.
The diesel x chem 91’s are fems. ON Haze and Orange Kush x Huckleberry soda are regs. I grew the Orange Kush x Huckleberry Soda a couple grows back, and it was male. I’m hoping this one will be female. I got it as a freebie, but it has been the most vigorous grower I’ve ever had. This round it’s much bigger than the others. Might mean I have another male. If so, I might keep it and make some seeds. The male of it that I grew had a strong bitter orange scent. I’m hoping this one will reek too. It has made me want to buy some other strains from Annunuki Genetics.
The ON haze is a Nevil’s Haze crossed with original haze, according to Todd McCormick. It’ll probably go longer than the other plants in flower
Gpaw, I’m looking for some good variety, hoping to find a real stinker this grow. My last grow was Purple Majik (Ethos), GSC, and Purple Urkel. I was happy with the turnout, but none of them really stood out to me.
Greetings, welcome back!!! Gonna barge in and claim that far right corner before @Gpaw gets too comfortable. He normally can be counted on to wake me when I start nodding off. I promise to hang in there for the entire run. I, too, love the Stonington Blend. Continued success, stay safe, take special care, and, indeed, be well…mister
Greetings @iron00monkey - looking forward to seeing this progress! Thank you for taking the time and effort to let us tag along on this journey w you! Best of luck!
Hey, annunuki is good people. Looking forward to seeing this one.
I use the bloom city klean kelp. Seems tobe a great product.
I’m trying out the Stonington blend my next grow and love my ts1000. Damn I really look forward to seeing this grow.
I transplanted to 1 gallon fabric pots today. Plants are about 2.5 weeks old. I ran my light at 100% for a day, and they didn’t like it, so the ts1000 is dialed back down to 50%, about 20” away. They are in Stonington blend soil.
The CSI Humboldt Twin Turbo Diesel plants have similar structure so far, which is expected. Hoping for some stinkers.
All the plants have a little bit of down curl on the lower leaves. This happened after I cranked my light to 100%. During transplant, I noted they all had nice, clean root growth. They probably could’ve stayed in the solo cups for another week. After the transplant and a watering, my humidity is up from 30% to 50-60%, which is great. The humidity should help them recover from the light stress I hope.
The ON Haze looks a little sad. I think it could be the Stonington mix soil, and maybe a little under watered. I’ve been trying to manage my watering better this grow, as I’ve tended to overwater in the past.
The Chem 91 crosses still look similar, but are showing some slight differences.
The Orange Kush x hbs is still thriving, the most vigorous. Maybe it’s another male.
I had a few fungus gnats show up, and the yellow sticky traps seem to have solved the problem. Haven’t seen any gnats for a few days.
I will probably flip these to flower in a week or two. Going to keep them small, and hopefully stay in the 1 gallon pots this run. Just looking for a modest harvest with some variety.
The plants are already stinky. I had to start running the carbon filter. My last 2 grows were not smelly, so I’m excited to see how these plants turn out.
We’re around 6-7 weeks now. The Orange Kush x Huckleberry Soda was a male, so I chopped it. I switched the lights to 12/12 a couple weeks ago, and found that my timer wasn’t working. This is the 3rd timer I’ve gone through. They seem to only last one grow. It’s frustrating, and I’m not sure why they die. So for the last week I’ve been manually turning the light on and off at 10AM & 10PM. Another problem is that my light, Mars Hydro TS1000, needs to be unplugged and plugged back in before the on switch will work. So not sure if it’s a light problem or timer problem.
The leaves were yellowing in the 1 gallon fabric pots in Stonington Blend, so I transplanted them to 3 gallon pots today with more of the same soil. I’m trying to avoid using nutes this grow, but I don’t know if it will work.
Here’s the AG Genetics ON Haze x Original Haze. It’s been very droopy for a few weeks. Not showing sex yet. It smells like cinnamon and mango.
I had the ts1000 light on 100% for a couple weeks, and the plants seemed miserable. I dialed it back to 50% and they’re all putting out healthy new green growth. I upgraded from a ts600, and thinking it wasn’t necessary if the plants don’t like the extra wattage. I’d like to maximize my wattage, maybe once they’re budding?
I would be happy to get some feedback. This is my first run with Stonington Blend. Anyone have weird light issues with a Mars Hydro light?
Now I have to decide do I want to make seeds?
Would (ON Haze x Original Haze) x (Sour Diesel x Chem 91) be something worth pursuing? I’ve never grown either of these strains, not sure how the offspring would turn out. If anyone has any thoughts, let me know.
Hey bro that would be an awesome cross I think but its all up to you. Maybe hit a branch or a couple bud sites if you don’t want the rest of the plants seeded.
I’m also using Stonington blend I pretty much use water only with the occasional coconut water, aloe, silica, and a top dress or two.
