Yeh I’m going with that too
Your tips are burnt because of potassium deficiency. They started out white/bleached. Light sensitive. Nute burn is a misleading phrase. The concept is mischaracterized by pot growers.
Leaf tips are boof-o-meters. Little meters all around the buds showing quality depleting in real time. It’s not senescence, it’s not a fade, it’s not dropping leaves for hibernation, it’s just potassium deficiency.
Telling people they have nute burn is not helpful. Which nutes? Nutes is not a thing. I’d hate to see a forum grower wire an outlet. “hook up da wires, da wires goes to da wires, all wires da same, it’s just wires”
It shouldn’t have to be said but for some reason pot growers seem to have forgotten: Potassium levels dictate quality levels. Calmag does not make your buds better. Potassium does. Nothing else is going to express the plant naturally. None of the terp boosters or bug shell teas, or bacterial stress inducers, or cold temps or night harvests or playing music. None of that stuff matters even a fraction as much as pushing back the quality killing calnit with potassium (and magnesium and sulfur) the 2nd half of bloom.
“Nute burn” is always a deficiency of reproductive nutes. Vegative salts and Ions in other parts of the plant are restricting potassium by drawing potassium-bearing fluid away from the new growth tips. That’s what a nute burn is. Excess ions restricting vegative ions. Totally mischaracterized by pot growers. The nutes aren’t burning anything, they are keeping the blood watered down and flowing poorly in the extremities. There is not excess of anything in the tip, only deficiency.
You can smell potassium deficiency before you see it. The plant loses its distinct smell. Cannabis seedlings with adequate potassium will have their distinct strain smell one week after germination. The smell changes when potassium gets low. Most seedlings you see online come out with yellow edges. Doused in calnit and MAP. Potassium deficient the day they are born, and their whole life. OG turns more Afghan, then more grandpa musk, then gross and meaty/smokey. Lots of strains get generic Haze smells when depleted of potassium. Deep frier fat oil smells also.
If you let it get bad enough you’ll end up with Rec store quality, fertilizer flavors. Desweetend nectar sap. De-honeyed honey. Nutty and gross. Dirt and rotten leaf flavors. “Terroir” lol. A lot of growers push out potassium so severely they’ve never gotten the generic weed flavors, let alone the strains true flavor. Only the terroir of nutes. The flavor of low quality, aka potassium deficient bud, with its obvious burnt ass boof indicator tips
But apart from that it’s all good
Btw it’s an autoflower. This means it’ll be way overfed on a mid strength nutrient mix. Some feed so light you can get both under and over feeding symptoms on different parts of the same plant. Doing ok at EC 1.2 but mild tip burn at EC 1.4? This is common with autos
Have any nutrient profile/elemental ppm ratios you don’t mind sharing?
He’s busy being Vernal somewhere else right now
I’ll just write a misleading phrase with a mischaracterized concept: I agree with nutrient burn . Autos are light feeders, I would just flush with pHed water and check the slurry EC …
