Is this what they call a Foxtail?

Have these popping up on my Jacalyn and was wondering if these are Foxtails?I haven’t encountered these yet.Are they Good?Bad?What causes them?Is it Genetics or something im doing wrong?Had a Nitrogen Issue I worked out by giving it plain water left out tap water caused a little lock out and I got a mobile nutrient problem. It’s pretty healthy now and it has good air flow and it’s at 78 degrees

Edit: pretty close to looking like a foxtail start, just stacking more flowers in an odd way… like a crown lol

I don’t see foxtails, maybe the beginning of a couple. How far are your lights from the plants and what lights do you use?

HyphotonFlux Barlights full spectrum Equivalent to 600watts but they pull almost 489watts out the plug they are exactly 24 inches away as recommended by manufacturer

I have found high powered LED can cause fox tailing along with other things. When it has happened to me I have lowered the light intensity and it halted it in it’s tracks.

Gotcha my plants have been showing signs of high intensity the leaves are going purple I think it’s trying to build up ethnocyanithins I think they call them to build a tolerance to the light by making them turn purple like that.Dial it down will cool it down too.Awsome I have a battle plan now thank you guys.

I’ve been sunburning them and they went to the tanning bed and got bronzed like those people that go to Florida for vacation and come back up north for Christmas

Yea it’s minimal atm, so not much to worry about. I’d prolly try to keep it a little cooler cause I personally don’t like dealing w trying to trim foxtails.

I have also heard it recomended to dial back down the intensities of high powered LED’s in late flower.

That too it’s been like 63 to 62 for sleep temps but does it do it to the fans leaves too like that?

I would expect the purple is more likely from either genetics or cool night temps, 60-62 will do it
