Issues controlling RH month into flower

If you do find any bud rot or suspect it, I would bring the plant out of the tent before touching or inspecting the bud rot, so as not to create a spore explosion that can spread. Or just remove the bud and inspect it outside or something. I am not trying to scare you haha. If these conditions are what you’re working with, in the future I’d run strains that are rot resistant like many strains marketed as outdoor strains to be safe.

Plants look great.
Just two days ago before start of week 8. I had an issue with bud rot due to insufficient air flow above the canopy. Very lucky to catch it thanks to OG members before it effected the whole tent. Defoliated a bunch and added a fan above canopy.

This is what you would look for if bud rot is present. Notice one cola yellowing/curl back.

That cola looks fine to me? Here’s mine

I’m going to purchase another Dehumid this evening and try running two or replacing the one I have. Wokeup today to my RH in big open room at 64 and my tents 72 and 69….

I don’t understand how my 50pt GE Dehumid can’t keep my basement dry…. I pulled the tube from the drain in floor today and placed into bucket to see how much I’m actually draining. Maybe it’s not working correctly

Same problem here. It pulls a ton of water but does nothing for RH. I stopped using it.

I think you might just need to let it ride.

If/when I find rot I take the whole branch.

I expect you’ll be fine but keep your eyes open.

Hell I’m worried about mildew in my basement as well now. I hung 200 sheets of drywall a few years ago hate to see it get ruined

Found this locally for sale new for $750. Think it’ll beat the GE unit I have?

Because it’s not a closed system , your drying the whole house will never work , all about air movement .

With good airflow (and you need to defol ) humidity at 64 percent is a non issue

That’s what my dad said… that the amount of plant matter and humidity going off and the fact nothing is exhausted outside yet just have a bunch of tents dumping the scrubbed warm humid air back into the basement w the Dehumid is why it won’t work. He said the reason it’s getting higher now is as many of you said more budding, and probably only get worse

I found this Dehumid I can run as well. Guy has one local for 750 think worth getting?

I’ll add a lot more fans I guess. Also I’m going to cut out 3/4 of the leafs tonigt and really thin these canopies. I was always afraid taking fan leaves would kill my plant (again first grow)

Hoping removing 50-75% of foliage will save me 5-10% RH

wow, i bet it smells great in there.
and 1st grow, nah, c’mon man, really?

Only remove fans with long stems , and leaf blocking budsites , no need to go crazy especially in flower . Defol is used in veg mostly or first few weeks of flower not late flower . Have good airflow to plants your ok .
Get air moving from under them blowing up with a fan at pot level

Yup! First go. I once planted some seeds along my parents creek as a child but I don’t count that.

Smells great. Been smoking moldy brown dispensary bud for three years so can’t wait to chop a piece and put it in my cannatrol!

It looks great I just hope I don’t end up w an entire tent of Bud rot. Was hoping for 1.5lbs on 16 trees

Ok I won’t trim as much then…. Some are really blocked though

Also any floor fans you recommend? How many? All mine are on top aiming at canopy

Get one at floor level or point that way

I use the cheap big standing fans from Lowes , not had one go out yet

My jammed mom tent is kept fine with just one large fan outside tent blowing in and sweeping

In my large tent I have 2 axial fans , one blowing in one sucking out , one of the lowes fans up high in tent blowing straight down
One in front of tent blowing in sweeping

I like the Lasko fans myself

Not sure I got room for those in my tent. Alternative is I pull all the flowering plants out of that tent and into a big room like this one I have my autos starting in…. And move my smaller autos to the tent figure bigger open room for flowering plants allows me more airflow? What ya think? Or just trim some foliage and try to toss some fans on floor blowing up

Think your ok with a defol and more air moving

well good for u bro, i’m really happy for ya, you deserve some good smoke finally.
I’ve been smokin’ that dispo shit for 7 years and boy i wish i knew a grower somewhere.

Also decided to try putting dehumidifier into the tent instead

Put Dehumid into tent to see what this does… I can tell almost immediately I may have temp issues when lights are on. I’m at 74* with it with lights off… thing puts out some heat! Humidity going way down though.

Picking up 3 20” lasko for fans for after work I’ll put two on one end blowing across lower canopy

NEVER put it in the tent…bad move, get it out

Laskos will solve your issue , get good air moving top middle bottom you will be just fine
