It's time to grow some bud, come on along for the ride

Sometimes my start tent gets up over 90% rh. They don’t seem to mind that too much at all as long as the temps stay over 80° as well.

Humidity was at 100%, everything is soaked. It was only for a day thought, should be ok. I am sure the humidity in that paper towel was the same so it should be fine. Right now I got a fan going in there and I turned on the carbon filter to pull some of that moisture out. The room is at 40% so should start allowing some of that moisture to evaporate. The fact that the Blue Kush and PPP broke the surface is a good sign.

Awesome pics Doug.
Never seen them get this far out of soil.
I had no clue they get sooooo hairy.
Explains alot for sure.
Best of luck :+1:

Murphy has reared his ugly head, huh?

Well, as long they didn’t drown completely, I’m sure they’ll be fine!

It didn’t leak, I just don’t think it turned off at 70% where I had it set. Water was everywhere including inside the tray holding the cups. A water leak would have been much better, lol.

I won’t presume to give advice my brother, but I will say that, in the event of an over-water, I pull the bags out of the cups to accelerate the medium dry out.
As I’m typing in realizing you’re in coco, so that’s probably not a concern, but I’m making the post anyway :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Makes sense. I just pointed a fan down at them but that would accelerate the drying a bit. Thanks for the tip.

Ha, I was kind of a prince of overwatering for a bit there… @potpotpot is/was the king though
Love you potpot.

After seeing your post I went and checked them again, lol. It’s down to 40% RH and I now see 2 more PPP breaching the surface along with 2 Pancakez. That’s half of them that have surfaced. Life is good.

I will clean it and test it while I am sitting in the room to see if it does it again. Amazon just sent me a different one to test that I was going to use in another tent but if needed I will toss it in this tent.

I agree. It should be fine. Coming out of paper towel it’s used to really high humidity. It dried out fast enough in there. Don’t sweat the little things, lol.

the black knight ALWAYS triumphs! have at you!

you had some crazy long fuzzy tails on some of your seeds… strong genetics. i doubt this will phase them unless you think the machine water was contaminated or something (?)

Another thing, Doug.

I also use my exhaust fan for humidity control.
If you are running through a carbon filter, you might try removing. that. Especially if its old and used. They get clogged with dust and are not efficient in removing humid air any more.
Just a thought, bruh. You do you!

Good tip @BigMike55. My filter is fine though and the issue us resolved. Cleaned my humidifier and it’s back to working properly. Checked the seedings this morning and all is good. Had 2 growing down into the coco but I uncovered them. I can now see all 15 seedlings. Looks like it was a non issue.
