How often are the dippers goin for the 2 gallon pots?

I went back down to 2 the other day.

With apologies for the very late update on these, but at least there is a little bit of a story…

There is a lot of background I won’t get into, but turns out I have a curmudgeon problem on a neighboring property with whom I have the misfortune of sharing a private drive. A few plants were visible from the road (which is used by only one other person…) and this old fucker decided to call the staties in the hopes of seeing me dragged off in abject shame to the slammer. When if became obvious that the boys in blue weren’t about to take any kind of action other than delivering a perfunctory lecture on plant counts and that a few of the ten-ish visible plants should probably disappear he completely blew his top and charged away in his little tractor thingy screaming threats over his shoulder.

Long story short, I had to par these 6 FPOG’s and 4-5 Kashmirs down to 3 plants in total. The Kash patch was an experiment in seeing how these would fare in wet, heavy clay with just a little compost, so I slaughtered all but my favorite of those (these were plants with various degrees of variegation that weren’t factoring into the next generation anyway), which, for those quick on their math-feet have already factored that four of the FPs were doomed. Well, sort of - two I killed, two others I yanked out and put back in pots to finish out of sight. All four have been harvested except for a seeded branch or two of those that remained in the ground. These beans will be FPOG IC1/F3, IF they manage to finish before pests/mildew/botrytis/etc take them - they need solidly one additional week, fingers crossed.

Anyway, here are the two from a few weeks ago before chop.

Really nice plants, with what I will class as “moderate” resistance to pests and pathogens. Smells of a sweet funky sort are developing in jars. Effects-wise, I honestly couldn’t be happier. Particularly the two in-ground seeded plants are excellent nighttime smoke, and - this is crucial in my book - leave a very pleasant and “clean” effect lingering the next morning. Notwithstanding the issues noted above, I am super happy to have run these, and if I can get seeds to finish they will absolutely have a place in next years (only slightly more clandestine) efforts.

Really awesome work in these, @JAWS, they have been a pleasure to grow.

Oh fuck that neighbor. Hopefully they never need a hand.

My sentiments exactly - I’ve been on this property (it’s a camp of sorts) for about a year, and this dude has screamed in my face a half dozen times like I’ve never been screamed at before. I put a lot of effort into trying to get along with this guy - I’ve taken him firewood, given him carte-blanche to take anything out of my fairly large cooking herb garden, and otherwise presented olive branches, but he’s an ugly old drunk who for whatever reason has turned me into a project.

The real joke of the situation is that it was my male patch that originally caught his attention, and he noticed the others after a few days of snooping.

Lesson learned…

Sorry to hear about the neighbor dilemma. I hate that shit. I had a new neighbor awhile back that wanted to create a problem. “Your landlord’s been my friend for years. Do I need to get HER involved here? You do you. I’ll do me and we’ll be fine.”
Your neighbor unfortunately sounds like a miserable guy. People like that often get all twisted when someone else ISN’T miserable too.

Yea, this is only one of several angles of attack he’s made. When I first got onto this property roughly a year ago I had an Amish dude put up a little shed on skids. Toward the end of the summer he got it into his head that I was sneaking around permitting regulations and spent almost three weeks calling the town’s code guy literally every day, sometimes multiple times a day. The code guy took a look, shrugged a WTF, saw no problem.

Hopefully the neighbor will find a new obsession, I’m truly not that interesting…

Dude’s not right in the head,

Another Mr Anderson, sad day man life to short to be that obsessed with other peoples business. I hope he finds some peace. Reading this is giving me flashbacks of a similar situation growing up neighbors across the street had it out for us since the very start no rhyme or reason other than we smoked the herb i never understood it and still dont. Sending fuck off vibe his way and wishing you a bountiful harvest man. Loving what ya got going on :raised_hands::stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

My sentiment towards folks trying to get between me and any plant medicine

Just had an add pop up on my news feed. Blue Mountain Seed Company. Fruity Pebbles “random mixed strains”. WTF does THAT mean? Off the floor? $40. I think I’ll go with one of @JAWS FPOGs when I get to running some. I’m gonna get tired of seeing all you guys and your FPOG generated smiles.
