JAWS Genetics

Thanks thanks thanks gang. Once again all praise to jaws! I’m just over here keeping it alive.

@BasementGardens I had absolutely no intention of taking it this long. Hah! She developed pretty much the same speed as everything else then took her time to pack on weight and looks like she will have another week at least. It’s 15 days now of nothing but water. She’s a tank. I prefer longer flowering varieties but really wasn’t expecting this from these seeds! Happy surprise. Veg tent is packed, but this girl needs time to get ready. They can wait.

I’ve got to get better about my documentation. I had something of @JAWS go over 10 weeks, but which? I like lime strains. Lime OGEE is an excellent sample of lime. I had it from stem rub to exhale. While there were the general hints of citrus, it was straight lime. FPOG is definitely a must run at some point.

Double Heather fem @ 8 weeks. I think I messed up my timing when I topped this plant. Almost no stretch. No big deal. A compact plant. Hey plant bondage guys…this might be a good SOG candidate. Sitting next to her there isn’t a strong smell. I crunched a tiny lower, rolled it under my nose. I’m not great at smell IDs, but this has a double dose. Oh man…

Man I love seeing your updates crownpoodle. Really nice shots you take. :metal:t2:

I’ll grab some shots later but I checked trichomes on the cheese x chem under the microscope. They are pretty ripe even though there are still some white pistils. There are plenty of cloudy heads but lots of deflated and leaking caps which means it’s ready to me! So it’ll be 83-84 days that she goes. She will get the chop in a few hours and I’ll keep you all updated on how it dries :purple_heart:

She also decided to put on more weight this week and snapped her stem a few days back. I was tempted to cut it but I tied it up and let it go another 3-4 days. Glad I did! I think she will have some real weight on her. She still has the cheese in there but the combo has almost turned into a funky floral smell.

That’s great @DirtySlowToes . I cut 2 Grapefruit GORG’s yesterday @57. 5 more going to go awhile longer. I’ve also got a couple still putting out lots of white pistols still, but the trichs are looking like yours sound. Getting ready to slam the 5 Alien GORG testers into 5s in a few days. They’ll follow the Grapefruits. I have some other stuff going after that. Need to check my options for @JAWS testers. Send me a list of what you need tested. We’ll talk.

I’m available for testing if you need anything tested. That goes for anyone with beans they need tested.

Here are my current Jaws plants!

First is this 9 week old FPOG F4, quite a lot of amber, I will take her down any day now. I didn’t do her any favors, but she made it :hugs:

Dawgs of war x UGORG also at 9 weeks and also quite amber. Quite a sweet scent on her. Freebie, untested and very worth a grow. Big and chunky with a nice yield.

And the baby is trainwreck meds

Strawberry OGEEs in the yard. They seem happy to me. My outdoor plants 2 years ago were twicbe this big right now. They also ended up in the yard waste with mold. If they get too big, too early I have problems. They slow way down growing when it’s overcast for weeks, right when the air is humid and stale. If I try and defol for air circulation, all those removal spots are potential spots for fungus.
These plants will likely be fine. Perfect size for now. Time for stakes and ties.

UK cheese x chem d just finished dry. Normally things take 10-11 days to dry this one took 8-9 so I expected the buds to be airy but they are surprisingly bulky still. It’s knobby structure still did probably contribute to a faster dry. I didn’t trim it up too tight as I’ll do that over the next week but got it all jarred up. Above average yield. I’ll let it sit for 3ish weeks before really getting into it but I ground up a bunch of the small stuff on the bottom and the knobs that fell off while handling and rolled a fat joint. About to go try that out now. To me it smells funky, musty, really ‘chemmy’ and almost floral, but when I gave it to Mrs slow toes to smell and when she dry hit the joint - she doesn’t smoke but likes to smell and dry hit stuff - she said it smelled like stale cheezits and acetone and it tastes like cheezits that had been sitting beside acetone for too long. I swear I didn’t prompt her once during the grow but I was pretty shocked when that was her description. So there must be some real promise in the cheese*chem mix. Happy to grow it. I’ll report back on effects. Here are a couple shots
