I’m at a pretty crucial step i didn’t jar all the buds i had a few that were good and as i was trimming more i had two ppl helping i looked at theirs looked at mine and was like FUCK ITS TOO EARLY lmao so we finished the small nugs and i started with an hour long burp shake the jars everything was stuck together so yeah i jumped the gun due to excitement but i have a good amount still hanging drying.
my tent is slowly dropping like 1% every two days I’m hovering at 58%
As for the jarred buds i left the lids off for about 4 hours they felt much drier but after 12 hours of lids on still moist as day one so I’m repeating 1 hour in the morning 4 hours at night well see after tonight i may need to keep repeating also there’s no condensation in the jars at all so that’s good but boy are they sticky the one i touched stuck to my finger
I really wanna grow chemdawg no dispensary grows just chemdawg only crosses of it.
And one cross is sour d and chem de la chem another is chem 91. While chem 91 is enjoyable isn’t not straight up chemdawg. It holds a special place in my heart lol

Grassy smell is pretty upfront now with jar nugs I’m

Got some crunchy sugar leaves on the hanging ones Maybe time to trim??? Lol that’d be a 9 day drying time WOOOOOOO personal best i also upped my humidifier keeping the tent at a nice 60% so maybe sometime during the week…all i know if after giving a squishy squishy my fingers smell fruuuuuuuity as hell and skunky
then keep airing it-- every day open the jar & get air to the whole jar, i.e. roll it around or whatever to ensure the bottom & core are “flushed” so to speak
after 7-10 days from harvest it should fade & be time to slow & stop burping in another week/2…
most I’ve gotten out of a plant. Hell yeah. Does anyone think it’s too leafy? I feel like it doesn’t matter as long as there’s trichomes on it. My buddy who grows keeps saying “it smells like grass because it’s too leafy” i said drop that theory my trim which is all leaf smells better than my nug but i have dispo nugs be leafy sometimes and i get zero grassy taste or smell.
Tho once in a while i get a black pepper smell which ok lol I’ve had bud smell like that before due to the terp caryophyllene

Edit: I’m going to try something. I’m going to poke a bunch of holes in one of my aluminum pans put a jar of my nugs in the pan put it on a milk crate and in my tent with my humidifier at 55%
That’s why it doesn’t smell all that. If it’s dry dry it’ll only really smell when you crack open one of the buds but if you keep it at that sweet spot of about 50-60% it’s lovely and the aroma won’t fade. I never smoke bone dry weed though it’s fackin horrible. To me anyway.

Hmm interesting i know it’s completely up to the county if they want to allow sales of marijuana or not. When my mom was out here lookin for houses she found one in teller county then she found out it was a dry marijuana county she said HA fuck that.
But i heard that Colorado is Wanting to try out cannabis delivery services for ppl who can’t really leave the house or whatever the case may be.

Never heard of a 3-4 month cure personally but longer the cure better the flavour but I wouldn’t have the patience waiting that long don’t think dispensaries cure for 3-4 month prolly 2 weeks to 1 month would be my guess. I also agree on the leaves tho they make it taste fuckin horrible hence why I always wet trim my plants don’t think cure time has much to do with it it’s just you’re trying to get rid of the chlorophyll out of the buds by leaving it wrapped in leaves that have chlorophyll, always seemed backwards to me but each to their own
I mean it makes sense but in my experience I’ve had a whole sugar leaf on a bud that tasted fire. I’m not sayin anyone’s wrong here i love all the input i love hearing all the different ways everyone does things even if it makes me scratch my head haha.
So yeah that makes sense but if you’re wet trimming and it’s drying up in 3 4 days then it doesn’t have time to breakdown so the idea behind a dry trim is to slow it down so it will have time to break down the chlorophyll then when trimming you’re cutting off the leaves obviously leaving the bud to let the chlorophyll break down even more.
I tried a nug out of a pipe not horrible but not good not making me gag but doesn’t taste good.
I’m wondering if i shoulda trimmed on the stem and let them hang longer to dry because my tent was perfect i had it locked in 60% in the low 60s high 50s
That way they can hang cure what’s happening is that they’re drying out too much and if 60% is the sweet spot and i have no idea what it is in the jar it could be too low and me leaving the jars open too long is fuckin it up i could be doing a lot of things wrong that I’m forgetting to mention but I’ve been trying to tell everything and mention what i do so everyone has a better idea.
So my tent is sealed off and everything like i was drying i layed out 1 jar to experiment with if shit don’t work it’s edibles maybe my buds are too wet causing the smell and taste it burned black ash indicating that it’s still too wet? Or not flushed i heard both claims not sure if the not flushing thing is a real thing but it being too wet would definitely cause it to burn black ash
