Tragedy has struck the garden my air filter fell on a plant 3 branches is all that’s left

That sucks or I should say blows, I have lost a couple of great plants to falling fans that were clipped to the tent poles.

I put a piece of 1x3 inch wood flat between the poles so I could clip the fans on securely.

I also threw some d earth on one of my plants to see what happens i have a fungus gnat problem hence the sticky traps some of my plants have ornaments

I’ve also been spraying green cleaner on the pots and soil tops……dunno if it’s doing anything cuz i still have problems lol

The thing is it was completely my fault if i didn’t mess with it it wouldn’t of happened

DE is OK if you can keep it dry, when it gets wet it becomes a horrible sticky mess. If you can water from the bottom of the pot or use less water so the top dries out quickly it helps reduce their egg laying ability. I had a severe gnat problem once, ended up getting predator mites to kill them off. I wish I had got those first instead of spending a shit load of money on mosquito dunks and yellow stickers. Amazon is the cheapest place for the yellow stickers, you could get a 60 pack of 6x8 inch double sided for 20 bucks.

Oh boy well……i fucked up lmao  i watered then Poofed it on my worst plant the thing is nectar already haS DE in it and i don’t water till run off i think i have about 5 times total this round so does it just go away? Or does the plant use the silica in it? Is it even a thing the plant can absorb?

Worse thing is i think it came from a cat nip plant i got at petco and now i move a pot and i can see em fly out and scatter in the soil i do know green cleaner kills on contact cuz i sprayed them bitches and they stopped moving a few monents later. Hopefully I’ll have this controlled to the one side i see a few flying around in veg but nothing crazy…also i believe my plants have stopped drinking so much i put in a little 4 inch fan to blow over the tops of the pots the one with DE furthest don’t wanna smoke that shit

Oh that sucks about the filter falling! And the gnat issue… I’ve been fighting gnats off for like a year or two.

I balance those yellow sticky traps on the edge of the pot and the stem so that they are perpendicular with and about a half inch above, the soil. If the gnats wanna go in the pot they have to go around the trap and same if they came up out of the soil. Would have to fly around the trap since if they fly up they are immediately stuck to the sticky trap. I found this worked much better than sticking the trap into the soil and just hope the gnats fly to it. Kinda like this

Been able to keep them at bay this way so much that I only ever see maybe a couple flying around in a whole tent regardless of moving stuff around and whatnot.

I might have missed it, but what is your water source? Tap or ro or other?

As soon as you see the grey leaf edges and curl you know it’s a P problem.

I do tap water 7.8 ph 50ppm so I’m assuming the spike in ph is due to tap water

I’m just not understanding one shot i guess??? Like it’s 3-10-0 2 tablespoons per gallon of soil re apply every 3 to 6 months it’s been what about a month? I guess i should keep track but when i water they seem hungry but when i feed they get the burnt tips……so i mean half strength bottle feeds once a week.

My idea behind the one shot was that to be the main source and add boosters and other bottles when needed but it’s not workin that way lol

Plants are looking pretty good, I would try to work on a different water source though. I think that would help you

I got root maggots…….son of a bitch and it’s funny cuz one of my plants is unhappy and i couldn’t figure out why i also had a suspicion of my plants being stunned can be caused by root maggots….if it wasn’t for @HolyAngel saying to place the sticky traps laying down i wouldn’t of figured it out spread d earth on the tops of the soil ……reading stuff on it it says to mix it in the soil before hand so if it’s watered in why not have the same affect right,?
